RE: So - what was your favourite movie of 2006??

An Inconvenient Truth (scary as hell)

RE: Rocky Balboa - VERY Good Indeed (may contain minor spoilers)

With all the hype (good for the most part) does anyone smell "sequel"?

:-)

RE: dvd pacific---order problem

I have always found their stock listings to be very accurate. When something shows as low stock is when you need to be careful. Obviously this then means can go out of stock easily as may only be one or two pieces left.

Ryder Cup - Golf Course recommendations

Will be heading to Dublin to see the Ryder Cup courtesy of some free passes through work and looking to play some golf while there. Having never been before has anyone got any course recommendations. Looking at Royal Dublin and we have one tee time at Portmarnock Golf Club already. Any others you know of or could recommend? Maybe a gem that`s not well known? Don`t want to travel too far from Dublin.

RE: Tales from the Crypt DVDs... anyone else buying these?

Completely agree!

The initial packaging on Season 1 and 2 was great with the raised 3D look in digipacks. Now we have slipcases which do still look good but not nearly as nice as the early seasons and further they are different heights when on my shelves. The episodes though are so bad their good and I love watching them. Is interesting to note the stars in some of these and where they have gone onto since.

RE: davinci code with Tom Hanks

DVD Pacific has it listed

14th November region 1 and the giftset is maybe a goer but expensive.

Possibly region 2/4 on this one with it being earlier and 2 disc set also.

For the most part I agree with you as I would probably do the same but as I shop at DVD Pacific so much (hardly a week will go by that I don`t order something) I have developed some excellent relationships with the staff there and almost feel compelled to express my point of view to balance any negatives that may arise against them. Your comment actually made me think as to why and i guess it is just this, that I shop there so much and really respect what the staff are doing there more so than the overall company. They treat me very personally whenever I contact them and always have time to answer questions, resolve problems etc. You don`t seem to see that from too many companies on the net.

RE: Crank

Might wait for the DVD on this. Suspect it will roll around pretty quick.

RE: Before i`m called a racist please here me out

Not racist. If a group of, say Australians, took over an area and someone got peeved the "racist" tag wouldn`t even be thought of.

Of course not because historically Brits and Australians are of common lineage for the most part and therefore of similar race unless we are talking of indigenous Australians but I don`t think so. We may have a few "racist" oriented remarks for them when the Ashes rolls around but that`s another story. :-)

RE: F***ing DVDPacific!

When you have shopped there as much as I have and as long as I have and continued to receive impeccable service then I have no hesitation recommending them at all. You only need to look around at what other sites have done during this time and the way they treat customers to know when your on to a good thing... :-)

RE: Before i`m called a racist please here me out

I can sympathise with you 100% on this issue. It`s sort of reverse racism by them and I agree that it is trouble waiting to happen. With so many damn do-gooder minorities around though not much is likely to happen.

I ordered a box set from them in the past that was well below £18.00 but those muppets decided to stick P+P onto the package which stung me for over £7.00.

I have received at least 1-200 shipments from DVD Pacific over the past 5 to 6 years and never have I seen P+P included on their customs stamp. You must have been really unlucky but in any case your entitled to a refund from customs. If the total value of goods in the package that are liable to duty and VAT is less than £18 WITHOUT P&P, you will not be liable for a charge so as I say you should get a refund.

RE: What ever had happened to SHIELD series being released in UK?

I agree..just go with region 1. Top Notch show!

RE: Steve Irwin Dies

R.I.P. Very unusual way to go. Apparently barb went right through his chest and into his heart killing him instantly. The guy had his quirks and did disagree with the way he handled his baby and the croc but still kids (mine included) loved this guy and he bought nature to them and made in interesting.

RE: HD DVD or Blue-ray?

Personally I would love to make the jump to a HD format but there is no way I will while we have competing formats and therefore just another nail in the coffin for both from my perspective.

RE: Had my car broken into...

Makes me wonder how hard they even look into these things sometimes. Completely understand your annoyance at such a thing. You never know and they may get a fingerprint hit. All the best!

RE: F***ing DVDPacific!

Yes Ben Franklin I did..BUT did you read what I wrote.

DVD Pacific has 3 different shipping methods for orders. You need to select the appropriate method. The default is ship and combine as I already said. I think this is because their US customers would use this mostly but not so great for us. We need to select hold till complete to have individual orders ship as submitted and therefore avoid customs.

RE: F***ing DVDPacific!

Did you select the correct shipping option? You have 3 choices at DVD Pacific when checking out. The default is to ship and combine. If you want seperate orders to ship as ordered you need to select hold till complete shipping option. This is one great thing about DVD Pacific that gives you the ability to have seperate orders or any order ship exactly as you want with their different options. I suspect you did not select the correct shipping option as have never had a problem like this.

RE: DVDSoon Bought Out by DVDImport

It appears they have finally gone, thank goodness. You are not alone in them stealing money from you. I would be doing a chargeback real quick if your able from your credit card issuer.

RE: Any golfers on here?

Thanks kindly for all that excellent feedback on drivers. I had no idea about the upcoming rule change so will defintely look further into that.

RE: Any golfers on here?

The MP 37`s are playing nicely. Have had the lies adjusted slightly to 1 degree upright as were standard when I bought them but otherwise am very happy with them.

What`s the word on drivers these days? Next step is a new driver. Currently have my old Callaway but I see verything is around 460cc now.
