Anyone seen this? I saw the (frankly surprising) really good reviews for it and decided to go last night, was really entertaining.
Just like Snakes On A Plane, it`s what I look for in a cinema movie really, there was decent action, story and soundtrack, definitely recommended. Better than either of The Transporter movies too, with a fair amount of comedy to boot :)
Sounds great to me, and the reviews have been generally very good. Might go see it on the weekend. :D
Giggity giggity!
Brilliant for it`s genre (trashy action flick). For one, it earns it`s 18 certificate.
I like Statham. He`s crap at acting, but then he just plays himself. He`s a great physical performer though.
Crank is what it is, complete and utter sh*te, but it`s so entertaining and funny and violent and ridiculous:
SPOILER:
One of the funniest scenes in the film has Statham inject himself with too much epinephrine and the result has him running about LA in a hospital gown with a hard-on
It`s a film about a guy who needs to keep his heart rate up or he`ll die... even approaching this film with a mature mind will leave you sorely disappointed. But compared to Snakes on a Plane, Crank blows it away...
Although I still have a soft spot for The Transporter (not so much it`s sequel, which is fun and all, but too polished). But Statham is certainly making a name for himself, and people are going to see his movies.

Statham has to be one of my favourite "actors" and this film was great. I wouldn`t say it`s as superb as all the reviews gave it. But its highly entertaining & really funny. The bit where he says "how much did he say inject" and he legs it out of that lift, that was pure class. Oh and Amy Smart is really good, she steals the scene`s shes in.
It was like a not as well made Tony Scott film, in terms of style.
8/10
You say pyscho like its a bad thing
Do you mean the `old` Tony Scott or the `new` one that edits his films like he`s eaten far too many smarties?
Giggity giggity!
Might wait for the DVD on this. Suspect it will roll around pretty quick.
I refer to the Man On Fire/Domino Tony Scott.

Let`s hope he doesn`t go down the same path as Segal, and Van Damme, although Dammn has recently made some decent action movies such as In Hell, and Wake of Death.

I`m amazed anyone actually pays Segal or Van Damme to make movies anymore. I wonder how much their straight to dvd movies actually make back?

If you`d said the `True Romance/Top Gun` Tony Scott your taste in films a opinion credibility might have gone up in my estimation.
Domino is an absolute turgid piece of messy s***.
