Wasps ! ! !

Theres hundreds of them buzzing at side of my house.

Cant let kid play in garden, cant leave windows open, cant put washing out to dry and, cant get to bin cause they`re all over that too.

Phoned council to report them and they will be out to deal with them at end of August.

So, if the wasps hang around till then, it will be nearly six weeks before my bin will have been emptied.

Told council this but the wouldnt budge on the date!!!!!!

If I did get pulled, what is the offence. If it`s no `road tax` then when I get it, it ill be purchased on day of offence and, back dated to before the offence happened so technically no offence would be commited. If it`s not displaying a valid `road tax` licence then what happens when you apply online. You have to wait up to 5 days to get it through the post so does that mean you risk a fine if you drive before it arrives???

At first the Police gave her an £80 on the spot fine but, after finding out she was unemployed, changed it to a warning.

She said it was her first time and was trying to get some money for Christmas!

Can anyone who works for a Local Authority Housing Department answer this......

What are the guidelines (if any) for logging on your system a NACL (No Access Card Left) on a tennant`s account and, to anyone reading those logs at a later date, would it mean that access to a property was unavailable or something else?

I only ask because we`ve been getting hassle for the last few months from a lady in the rents department.

A few times when she`s called to the house, she`s left a memo or phone number on one of these `NALC` cards, becuase she had no other paper to write on, and handed them to us at the door. Recently we found out she`s been logging these cards on the system as left, but not stating why she left them.

We`ve had other letters from her regarding rent arrears, even though before she started at the office we arranged, and was agreed by the local authority, for us to pay our rent every four weeks as that`s when I get paid.

She always sends a rent arrears letter the week before pay day and sometime there is a `NACL` card included with it. Then we get a visit from her. Every time we have to go through the payment arrangements and list my pay days.

Last Monday she took it a step further and issued a `Seeking Possession` notice even though she knew we had paid in full the previous Friday. We pay online and luckily print off copies of all the receipts, and it even states on them they are receipts and gives dates and times of payments. She argues that it`s irrelivant when we actually pay, it`s only relivant when it appears on her system as paid.

I get a bad feeling she`s setting us up for something!

If she decides to go further, we`ve got all those NACL logged against us and now a `Seeking Possession` notice.

I did it today with a repeat shoplifter.

Saw him eying up our store across road so I went out and told him to forget it, cause if he steps foot inside the store the police will be called.

Now, when we catch him instore, he`s as quiet as a mouse, hands over the goods and leaves.

Outside though is a different matter. He started mouthing off for embarassing him in public. He actually thinks no one else knows he`s a shoplifter. The best bit was when his fellow shoplifters came over to see what the fuss was about and threatened to knock my head off.

So, outnumbered I had to back down but not before reminding his friends that knocking my head off was probably against their parole terms. Told them all not to step foot inside the store again.

While they all carried on mouthing off, I went back in the store wondering what the f*** I was playing at!

Wont be doing that again in a hurry.

I work in a high street store.
3 months ago one of our `specialists` moved to another store leaving a vacancy.
Everyone at our store was told the position was already taken and we were waiting for the replacement to arrive.

This week the replacement arrived.
It seems the job hadn`t been taken and was recently advertised in every other branch except ours.
The replacement used to work at our store but left last year.
She found out about the job from another Manager` who is very very very friendly with her.
He put a few good words in for her and she got the job.
She knows nothing what so ever about the job and will have to be trained up, by us(I don`t think so!!!!).
Other people in our store who are more qualified were not even given the opportunity to apply for this job, as we were told it was already taken.

The manager knows how everyone feels but doesn`t give a dam.

So what, if anything, can we do?

Lots of us would have applied for the job had we been told it was open to application.

Women who smoke while pregnant are no better than child abusers....

I want to make a simple DVD game.

Basic one with menu options and buttons to press, to either take you further into the game or end it.

Need help making a BIG BIG decision

Met a girl at work a few weeks ago. Never knew she worked there until my shifts were swapped. We`ve got on that well that I`ve fallen totally in love with her. I know she likes me a lot but not sure if she feels the same as me. Now she`s left and gone to Lancaster Uni. I didn`t know she was leaving and had no time to tell her how I felt. I have a way to contact her through another work mate but, and here`s the but, I don`t know if I should. `So what`s the problem` I hear you say? My girlfriend and kids at home!

So, do I stay in a unhappy relationship or, take a risk and go after another?
