There`s a world of difference between child abuse and pig-headed ignorance. I see where you`re coming from but those that smoke while pregnant ignore medical advice on the gounds of `well my mum smoked wiv me an` i nevva got no damage, did I?`

Smoking while pregnant. No excuse for it.

Even the `Well, I`ve tried to give up, innit?` doesn`t rub. Obvously you haven`t tried hard enough, you selfish ****. (Rant rant rant..) >:(

Each and every intake of smoke affects the unborn child.

I used to smoke. As soon as the missus showed me the blue line on the pee-stick, I stopped. Full stop.

In some cases it is better for the mother to stay smoking than have the added stress of giving up.

A few years ago when a friend of mine was pregnant, she was told by her doctor that OK, best to give up, but he prefered a happy mum to be rather than a stressed one (she did cut down).

smoking whilst pregnant usually means a smaller birth weight, if blokes had to push the baby out of their butts they would all be on 40 fags a day or more lol.
