Just seen an advert for the daily star on T.V, and wondered what,s the music, seems like a 60,s style guitar riff,or something of an "Austin Powers" movie styleee...:).Any ideas?

old xbox,media center?

Thought I`d try posting this again, or has everyone got 360`s and PSPs :/ I,ve checked some sites but would like some recommendations(i,e Whats your setup(modchip/hd/dash)?

As we now have a spare xbox, I was thinking of moding it, on the cheap, use it as a media player? I know alot of you have modded boxes If you could give us some ideas/help what I should do with it, seems a shame to leave it gathering dust

ogster, where are the reviewer clan?.... :) It would be nice to see at least 6 to 8 players, I try different servers, but some of the gamers are just too good. It`s a shame they can`t "player match" like they do on Xbox live, so you can get a chance :) Good fun the other night,sniper rules in Morpheus.see you out there.... fraggin tonite :D

pc problem?

First his xbox,now his pc! :/ my son`s pc starts,loads,when it`s finished loading win2k, screen goes black and it re-starts again?. It won`t start in safe mode, just keeps re-booting.I tried taking a stick of ram out(has 2# 512mb/2100ddr),first try wouldn`t start at all, so put it back tried the other stick, it then started but still the same problem.Could it be the m/board?, its an old asus one. I thought it might be the graphics card(rad 9200), but put it in my pc, works a treat( I`ve been using on board graphics). Any ideas folks?, as it looks like a new m/b upgrade :/
P. S. Tried UT2004 on my pc(now i have a card ;) ) It`s great :D (I had the old ut and q3 on mine) but the difference is amazing,even online.

faulty xbox?

My son,s xbox has started to develop a strange fault.It doesn`t seem to recognise his games(PAL) and dvd,s(region 2), yet it will play cdr and dvd-r discs. I don`t know if the drive(phillips one) is region locked/kaput?. I told him he`d be better off buying another xbox, because he`s getting Halo2 withdraw symptoms.Any console deals out there?,and could he salvage his old xbox?new drive? is it worth it?

I,ve just looked in Argos cat, will I need a home cinema system with built in DD5.1 decoder? the Acoustic Solutions Ds535 is £89.99, has it optical input? Its for my son,s bedroom so emphasis on cheap! I`ve got a lennox 500 home cinema in the lounge, but no optical inputs?Shame I can,t run it through that, or can I? Maybe cheaper to get a new supermarket dvd all-in-one system with optical inputs, if there are any?

Noticed the virgin sale still on (been on holiday), and thought have another look, got a few dvds for the kids but also picked up Unforgiven SE 2disc, ok for 6quid.Its still worth looking in your local v/shop,some bargains.

Should you allow kids to watch higher rated 15,18 cert dvds/videos? My 13 yr old son,s fav dvd is the Matrix(15),but he,s also watched other dvd,s I,ve got; Blade/Blade2, Enter the dragon,T1/T2.He wouldn,t be able to see them at the cinema,I suppose parents have to decide?Was thinking of getting `the Thing` (4.99in Hmv),my sons seen the game on pc/xbox,but if I get the dvd,he,s gonna want to see it!. It was a bit shocking at the cinema 18cert, should I let him watch it on the 5.1 setup in the lounge?Apart from the obvious dvds!, what shouldn,t they watch, ie horror(exorcist)?. Its difficult when your kids like your movies! Any thoughts?

tv for the bedroom?

Need a cheap tv (£100,ish) for the bedroom,19"+ with scart connections, as I`ve just bought a dinky dvd player and my old tv (is just too old) i.e no scart,a/v connections.Has anyone seen any deals lately.. Tesco,s,Aldi,Asda,s etc?

i remember going to the cinema to see it, noticed it in hmv(maidstone) today £4.99, is it worth getting this dvd, or will i find it a bit dated and not as good on a 28" tv / 5.1 speaker set up?
