Page 1 of 5.1 sound for x-box?

Anyone know of a cheap-ish 5.1 speaker package to use with x-box, have got advanced scart lead,so will I need optical cable/input?

yes, you`ll need an optical lead if you take it direct from the advanced scart cable. Argos do a cheap Acoustic Solutions 5.1 system which will work fine.

I,ve just looked in Argos cat, will I need a home cinema system with built in DD5.1 decoder? the Acoustic Solutions Ds535 is £89.99, has it optical input? Its for my son,s bedroom so emphasis on cheap! I`ve got a lennox 500 home cinema in the lounge, but no optical inputs?Shame I can,t run it through that, or can I? Maybe cheaper to get a new supermarket dvd all-in-one system with optical inputs, if there are any?

I bought the acoustic solutions 5:1set from argos and the sound quality is fantastic! Mine has optical and coaxial inputs. I definately recommend it. Especially at that price it is excellent value.

i got mine through my home cinema seperate system a good scart kit to go for is the joytech in dixons £14.99 includes optical lead too svhs/scart/phonos. cheaper than official xb lead etc.

I`d advise to stay clear of 3rd party console leads. You`d think they`d be the same but they`re not. Is the joytech one RGB?
