Page 1 of pc problem?

First his xbox,now his pc! :/ my son`s pc starts,loads,when it`s finished loading win2k, screen goes black and it re-starts again?. It won`t start in safe mode, just keeps re-booting.I tried taking a stick of ram out(has 2# 512mb/2100ddr),first try wouldn`t start at all, so put it back tried the other stick, it then started but still the same problem.Could it be the m/board?, its an old asus one. I thought it might be the graphics card(rad 9200), but put it in my pc, works a treat( I`ve been using on board graphics). Any ideas folks?, as it looks like a new m/b upgrade :/
P. S. Tried UT2004 on my pc(now i have a card ;) ) It`s great :D (I had the old ut and q3 on mine) but the difference is amazing,even online.

Sounds like the Blaster worm.... or something similar....

More likely it`s BSOD and then immediately rebooting - do you see a flicker of blue before it reboots?

Any new hardware been installed recently? Try taking it out.
