RIP DAD (Alfred Cooper 1931-2006)

C(.)(.)PS89 (Competent) posted this on Thursday, 15th June 2006, 20:20

My Dad pasted away yesterday at 2.40 pm at the age of 75

He`d been in hospital since Saturday afternoon(12.00) , he fought like a lion to give himself every opportunity to pull through ... but in the end his lungs just weren`t up to it .

The official cause of death was Coal miners lung .(Silicosis)

Friday he cut the grass, done the garden as he always did , smoked his pipe and had 6 cans of calsberg whilst watching the football.

He was a great man who died with no regrets and I will miss him for ever :(

Thank you Dad for being you .

Coops

My families prayers and thoughts are with you , your family and friends at this sad time.

In the coming days and weeks your family will hopefully gain some solace from the fact that the members of this board will be thinking of you all.

I have just opened a can of Carlsberg in memory of your dad.

A wee prayer just finished mate.

God bless mate

God bless Alfred .

Ian

....he sounds like a good man who will be sadly missed but who lived life to the full right up until the end. I`ll crack open a Carlsberg in his honour too...

Deepest sympathies, Coops. Words are totally inadequate, but I`m positive he`d be proud of that tribute.

All the best to you and yours.
