RE: [VIDEO] BBC is making a Victorian-era War of the Worlds TV series

Yeah, I recall a scene in the promo panning across by the museum and art gallery but with Big Ben in the background..

RE: [VIDEO] El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie

It was OK but think about the characters they could (and should!) have revisited. Skyler, Jnr? Mike could have played a much bigger role and certainly Saul too? Even more of Skinny and Badger would have been better.
It added pretty much nothing to the whole thing and there was actually lots of completely pointless scenes and flashbacks throughout.
It was fine for 2 hrs but maybe a 6/10 film.

RE: [VIDEO] Joker

Jesus Christ, that was just incredible.
Very, very hard watch at times but Pheonix's performance is truly on a other level to anything else for a long, long time. I though Di Caprio was as good as I'd see this year in '...Hollywood' until I saw this.
I will see it again and yet maybe not see it again after that. Strange..

RE: The New Site Suggestions Thread

Did you do a tweak to make links for pages of threads with lots of answers appear? Better on phone now.
Automatically removing the s from https links would help too (or making them clickable).

Hilarious.
Next will be alleged dodgy dealings.
Not that even if proven it will matter.

RE: [VIDEO] Brexit

It's quite staggering now.
Si, I genuinely wonder what it would take for him to do now for you to believe he's wrong and overstepping the mark. Breaking the law, deceiving the Queen and the Country and using such arrogant and appalling language with such cheap shots obviously aren't enough.
What would it take?

Yup, unanimous.
"Unprecedented, extraordinary, ground breaking - it is difficult to overestimate the constitutional and political significance of today's ruling."

RE: [VIDEO] Brexit

Delivering its conclusions, the Supreme Court's president, Lady Hale, said: "The effect on the fundamentals of our democracy was extreme."
She added: "The decision to advise Her Majesty to prorogue Parliament was unlawful because it had the effect of frustrating or preventing the ability of Parliament to carry out its constitutional functions without reasonable justification."
Lady Hale said the unanimous decision of the 11 justices was that Parliament had not been prorogued - the decision was null and of no effect - and it was for the Speakers of the Commons and Lords to decide what to do next.

" Wow! This is legal, constitutional and political dynamite.
It is worth just taking a breath and considering that a prime minister of the United Kingdom has been found by the highest court in the land to have acted unlawfully in shutting down the sovereign body in our constitution, Parliament, at a time of national crisis."

Pretty clear to me. How any PM under any other circumstances could survive this is beyond me..

He was nowhere near his face? That was embarrassing.
As for the pen, I've seen them given from way nearer with quicker shots.
Not a clue if it was on MOTD or what they thought though.

RE: [VIDEO] Arsenal: 2019/2020

Strange one at the end not to give a handball with his arm out and the ball moving a fair way - but much worse was Sokratis rolling around holding his face trying to get the Villa guy sent off (who literally did nothing). Awful thing that VAR should be able to look at.

'Refused to allow' by using their vote? Did you mention recently the law of unintended consequences?
Like calling an election and lowering your majority? Without which we maybe wouldn't be in this position either. Feel free to continue deflecting the blame away from government though.

Glad that caller knows more than everyone else and all the planning and space being set aside won't be required.
I saw lots of those signs too snaps, I went to and from Bristol yesterday.  Along the lines of you may need different/extra paperwork from 1st November.  No actual information though - probably because they still don't really know - unlike that caller.

RE: Brexit

I think what the courts say are almost not the point.
It is really that they have knowingly deceived and downplayed the impact of the report and its creation date.
And then closed down Parliament so there is little that can be done about any of it.

RE: Brexit

Yup, 'it's all good' lying to the queen and illegally shutting down Parliament for five weeks at time of national crisis. There can be no limit to how low this man and his mates will stoop to evade being challenged and questioned.

Console yourself with the fact that many others have the likes of yourself to thank for this. It's only the actions of yourself and others that will have made Apple finally sit up, take note and stop arrogantly ignoring the little man.
Well done indeed!!
