RE: Anyone got
I got it the day it came out and had to listen in stereo as my Siony 715 dosn`t support DTS. Even in stereo really good. Now with DTS it`s brilliant. If you are an Eagles fan I can`t reccomend it enough.

RE: Anyone having problems with R1 T2 Ultimate Edition
I haven`t had any problems on either a Sony 715 or a Lecson 900 (bought for the DTS output)

RE: Die Hard Box Set. Anyone know if its in stock anywhere?
I`ve just received mine from play247 for 39.99 GBP

RE: Are we strangling the forums - please be honest ?
I also think you guys do a great job (which must be hard)
I don`t like it when some contributers feel that they have to be `superior` when someone appears not so informed. We are here to help each other are we not?
Personal abuse and foul language should not be tolerated, as it so often gets out of hand.
Generally I have found these forums the most informative and helpfull available.
Thanks for all the good work

RE: R1 American Beauty, R1 Fear & Loathing, New Spartacus DVD 2 disc set.
No problems for me - both play fine
Iain
RE: Disneys bloody Dinosaur
It seems to be the usual story with these disks. I have a Sony 715 and a Lecson 900 (for the DTS) and my copy plays fine on both. However I have the Region 1 Special edition rather than the R2 version. This seems to be a common situation. What do they do when they produce the R2 copies??
Iain
RE: The state of play?
Play247 still send all their disks in separate jiffy bags with the price on the outside. C&E don`t seem to take any exception to this.

RE: what would happen if you didnt pay your customs bill?????
FedEx alway pay the fees as it is part of the deal to get the packages through as fast track. If you don`t pay the fee you will in due course receive a letter from a debt collection agency chasing for the money, and yes they will even for as little as £8 !!

RE: Cheap 5.1 Sound....
Debenhams sell a system comprising of a DD/DTS Receiver + 5 Speakers and Subwoofer all in a box for £299 from Paramount Pictures. I listened in to a demo being run for some peaople using a Lecson 900 DVD Player to a Sony TV. DVD was Toy Story2 - Sounded very good.

Yes they are quite right. It sounds great as well!!

RE: Charlie`s Angels
The 0,1,2,3 hack you are using is for the 1st wave 750`s without the DTS Logo, as far as I know. This may be why it is not working. Look at :-
http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/popular.asp
for info as well as :-
http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/news/feature.asp?Index=2993
for specifics on RCE and the 750
Hopr this helps

RE: Hack for Lecon 900
The hack is the same as for the Wharfedale 750s player as found on this site. Try :
http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/full/wharfedale750sEarlier.asp
If this dosn`t work you may have the newer firmware so go to:
http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/full/wharfedale750sLater.asp
Hope this helps

RE: WHERE DO BUY R1 DVD`s FROM?? www.play247.com or ..........
I was using dvdexpress.com and dvdempire.com. With play247.com there is no import duty or VAT. I find that in the end the prices work out cheaper. They are certainly better than R" proces in the UK.
Iain
RE: How many dvds do you all have?
I have just over 200 - mixed R2 + R! purchased in and imported from the US.
I have had a DVD Player for about 2years.
Iain
RE: Whats The Best Region 1 supiler on the net? DVDBOXOFFICE........PLAY247?
I have found Play247 to be excellent. The DVD`s are posted separately and do not seem to attract import duties as they are dispatched from within the EEC.

RE: Problems with Disney`s Dinosaur R1
Looks O.K. on the Lecson 900

RE: Wharfedale 750s - What discs have problems? Gladiator disk 2?
I`ve sorted my own problem! - After closing the draw with the DVD inserted, wait for `LOADING` to appear on the screen. The next display is `DVD`. As `DVD appears press `Title` on the Remote control. The Audio selection menu appears, but momentarily moves on to the Main Menu from which the Audio prefereance can now be made.
P.S. The same ploy gets me past the FBI warning on R1 version of Mission To Mars, which was sticking on the warning and would go no further.

RE: Help Please - Kenwood Dolby Digital Reciever KRFV5030
The receiver has a built in Dolby Digital Decoder. (Dolby Digital and Dolby 5.1 are effectively the same. `6 channel output for DTS` means that the receiver has outputs on the back to allow to you to feed a separate DTS decoder.
Hope this helps.
http://www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk/site/pages/index.htm
will allow to you pull up the details of the receiver.

RE: www.Play247.com FANTASTIC
I only ordered on line for the first time today. After confirming I realized that I cocked-up and orderd 2 of the same DVD. I phoned the number at the bottom of the order page, got an immediate answer. The young lady immediately sorted the problem whilst I was still logged in.
RE: Possibly a stupid question!
According to the Sony Website :-
http://www.sel.sony.com/SEL/consumer/ss5/home/homeaudio/receivers/str-de445.shtml
the Amp has DD/DTS decoding.
Iain
RE: Wharefdale 750 DTS Sound Problem
Does your amp have a DTS Decoder ?
Iain
RE: Wharfedale 750s - What discs have problems? Gladiator disk 2?
I have a copy of American Beauty (Region 1 DD/DTS) which plays perfectly on my Sony 715. It locks at the initial DD/DTS selection screen both on a 750s (Version 2) and Lecson 900 (same inardsas 750s version 1)
Iain
RE: Wharfedale 750s & American Beauty
Thanks for that - I was wondering if it was anything to do with the Zoran Chipset as the older 750 uses the LSI Logic.
Thanks again
RE: Tesco and Wharfedale
The player in question is a Minato G1 - I can find no record anywhere on the net of this player, other that Minato is another Japanese Electronics Company.

Wharfedale 750s & American Beauty
Has anyone successfully played the Region 1 (DD/DTS) version of American Beauty on any of the Wharfedales (or Lecson 900)?
When I try, I get the initial screen asking me to select sound format. Whatever the input the screen freezes. The only way out is to put the player into standby.
Thanks
Iain
