RE: NTL 1Mbit @ £9.99 Per Month for a Year

I rang NTL to genuinely terminate my telephone line (costing £10) so that I can go to BT and find competitive Broadband offers
However NTL offered me for a total cost £9.99 - 1Mb Broadband unlimited and telephone
couldn`t say no

RE: Best chocolate ever

Has anyone seen a Dark Choc Bounty - Red wrapper ???

RE: Anyone Bonkers for Conkers...Ever?

Cheese cutters were OK, everyone liked to have one in their collection, but you couldn`t beat a big`un, as these had the thicker shells, unless you kept a stash from the previous year which would have matured and hardened
don`t forget the "Strings" and "Windmills" for another turn

RE: Pro hunting......

Just need to open up a few more Korean Restaurants where fox hunts take place !!!

RE: Best chocolate ever

I just love choclate, especially dark choc
I`am quite surprised everyone seems to like Green and Blacks Organic choc - I`am personally not too keen - I`ll eat it though !!!
Has anyone seen the Bounty Dark Chocolate - Red wrapper, I think they must have stopped production can`t see it anywhere
As for chocs from USA and Asia it`s just not the same as UK, even if it`s the same brand
Prefer my chocs to be chilled especially KitKat

RE: Holiday to Kissimmee/Orlando Next Year. Advice or Tips Needed!!!!

Try Delta Vacations for good deals on flights and villas with pool
Save money by having connecting flights in US, we choose Atlanta - as it`s Delta Airlines main Hub, so just in case we missed the connecting flight - there`d be plenty others flying to Orlando.
Car hire is a MUST - we booked in UK - could not find good deals over the Internet in US
Park/Attraction tickets - you will NOT find deeply discounted tickets anywhere, brought ours from US (cheapest I could find) - see http://www.mapleleaftickets.com/ , based in Kissimmee, who gave us free tickets to play mini golf
Pick up tourist mags/newspapers there for discounts to restuarants, etc
Location - Kissimmee, good place to find rented private accomodation and villas, close to Disney parks
I - Drive, lots of big hotels, shopping and Universal Parks, Sea World
If you`ve been been to Disneyland Paris - don`t bother with the Disney Parks here - make your prioity the other parks, unless you have young kids

RE: What`s the best way to record sound from a SKY box to a computer ?

Thanks EmilyHoward

Couldn`t find the Recording Level settings - will give it a go

What`s the best way to record sound from a SKY box to a computer ?

I tried connecting Line out from back of Grundig SKY box to Line in on sound card on my computer, but found output very distorted

What`s the best way?

All my Audio/Video goes thru a Denon 3801 receiver, so was think of using the Digital output from the Denon, but would need I think a Toslink cable and digital soundcard - but don`t want buy this extra equipment unless I knew it would work, or an alternative method

thanks

RE: Barking dog needs a bullet in the head

Are we talking about wildlife sanctuaries, or dogs in the backyards
it`ll also hopefully stop the p***ing cats crapping all over the garden

RE: Barking dog needs a bullet in the head

came across this device:

http://rewci.com/barfrestopdo.html

from US - 110V, there must a UK equivalent

RE: Subwoofer spikes

Shouldn`t need spikes if you have good sturdy floor
however placing the subwoofer on a slab of stone produces good bass
thats what REL recommend

RE: Cheap Suntan Lotion

Worth buying from the new range which offers 5 Star UVA protection, which I think no other manufacturer offers - so if your a sun lounger go for the new stuff, you`ve seen the advert on TV

Still a bargain at 2 for 1 price

old stuff is only 4 Star UVA protection - I think !

suntan lotion usually keeps for 12 months - I read somewhere
