Cardiff??

I remember a thread on this last year, but none for Cardiff. Need suggestions for the weekend - hopefully not the one near the Marriott

well...there are plenty around in Canton (Cowbrdige Road West - or it could be East, but any taxi driver will know and take you to a tidy one). Or of course, there`s City Road in Roath (much closer to town) where there are loads.

And also, the King Balti in Albany Road is supposed to be quite good although I haven`t been there myself, yet :-).

Don`t know Cardiff well at all but there is a good one right in the centre. I remember a long parade of restaurants which all have tables on the pavement. The Curry house is in what looks like an old cinema/bingo hall - looks dubious but was good

I`ll pick up a take-away on the way out of London ;)

The dubious looking one is the same one I was thinking of - should be able to give at least one of them a go..

Newport... try the Bombay Bicycle

or not far from Cwmbran in a little village with lots of LLLLLLLLLLLLL`s at the start which totally unpronouncable for the average `Englishman` is possibly the best Indian restaurant i have ever eaten in... called the Raj Gate.

i know any time i am visiting that area thats where i will go...

Anyone in Derby should go to Jee Ja Jees. Or Balti Towers.

And Shimla Pinks or Jazz and Spice in Birmingham.

I couldnt reccommend anywhere in Oxfordshire as ive never had a decent curry down here!
