x box 360 elite problem

Hi all not posted for a while but in need of some help.
I have purchased an x box 360 elite to go with my gaming system.
None of the cables are any use to me as they are for TV
I have purchased a cable that connects the x box to my pc monitor
The problem is i was hoping the elite would have an optical sound outlet that I could connect my Logitech Z5500 Digital PC Multimedia Home Theatre Speaker System - 505 Watt .
This has an optical /coax digital line in.
Can anyone help me with a cable that allows me to connect my sound up
I have goggled it to death but I am ever hopeful that someone else has the same set-up

I have just brought one and have not stopped using it since . Fantastic bit of kit easy to use . Just drop and drag from the hard drive . It just shows as another 20 gb hard drive .
Battery life puts the i pods to shame .
I brought mine of Amazon for £149 with a case at £12 which is not included in the package .

I researched this for ages ad rate the XS202 as the best on the market .

Regarding the archos gmini xs200 does anyone know if the batteries are replaceable when and if they die .

Also has anyone who owns this found a case for protecting it as it seems that Archos do not supply one .

The Archos has no line out option so would you be able to connect to a set of portable speakers via the headphones socket ?

The Archos has now presented a third option . I am now undecided with the Archos versus the Creative Zen with the ipod in third place .

Do any of the owners of either of the these have any comments to help me decide ?

I really like the fact with the Archos that it shows up as a hard drive and you can drag and drop

Do people rate the Creative Zen Over the Ipod 20 gb .

I am torn between the two and would appreciate some help.

Does anyone know if there is any other ways of downloading the music easily to the Zen without having to pay £20 .

Media Player Help

Ok last resort , I have major problems with Media player .

It will not search the media library when asked and just freezes and will not search .

I have lost all playlists ect .

So I have tried removing it , repairing it , downloading a new one .

Looked at every tech board I can find

So does anyone know of a fix ?

I must admit to have in excess of 15 GB of music on the hard drive and I am wondering if media player cannot cope .

My laptop has suddenly had a change of font across the whole system , to the best of my knowledge nothing has been changed , but every everything now has a slight italic to it .

This is winding me up no end , does anyone have any ideas .

Clayts , thank you for that will wait until warranty runs out as above .

Does anyone have any ideas re a 120 mg drive as the article does go against it because of vibration ?

I must admit I could not do without Sky + , but I do worry if Sky will suddenly reindroduce the subscription when people are hooked

The blank disk shop or otherwise known as SVP are doing fantastic deals this Christmas on dvd- overprints sourched from Ritek.

I have bought 25 for about £13

I have to give them a small boost and say how impressed I have been with there products and service.

Sky today have completed the upgrades to the Sky + boxes enabling the ability to record 2 channels and watch a third.

It gets better and better there must be a catch like another price rise!


An update , I have found out you cannot watch a third but have to watch one of the two you record.

But still a good product

Just a small vote for the Final cut to fill your album collection
I was brought up with Floyd from my Brother via enforced listening along with a load of Genesis .
I strongly recommend Peter Garbriel whose music I love especailly the first three albums .

What happenned to good music I am so fed up with the crap around with modern manufactured stuff .
