Page 1 of Speeding up Kazza downloads?>

Has anyone any tips on how to speed up Kazza downloads?

Since installing Kazzalite on my desktop pc (I was using normal Kazza previously) my download speeds seem particulary slow. I also have Klite on my laptop and the download speeds on that are much faster. Does anyone know why this might be happening ?

KazzaaLite has been closed down after a court action by Kazzaa. The reason it`s slow is that Kazzaa have updated their codes to block out KLite users from searches and download sources - instead of connecting to the whole network, you can now only get to a tiny part of it. KazzaaLite used to update their code to get round this, but have now ceased development.

You need to go back to full Kazzaa and try Diet K, which removes the Spyware.

How effective is DietK. If it works then I will give the original Kazaa a go.

Otherwise, any recommendations for a suitable alternative P2P app for hard to find Mp3`s

Reinstalled Kazaa but still having problems with downloading.

Having a lot of problems connecting to most sources (status constantly shows connecting and never actually starts downloading). And the ones which do start to down load are very slow, typically 1 to 2 KB/s :( .

Does anyone have any tips for speeding up downloads, as they seem a lot slower than they used to be.

i cant find my ftp upload software right now

If you are dloading MP3`s i would suggest using something like soulseek. Its fast and reliable, has a huge user base and, best of all, doesnt throw up pr0n results everytime you search for something.

Unless thats what you want, in that case stick with kazaa ;)

This answers why my Kazaa has ben crappy lately, ben using kazaalite for a while now but the searches and downloads have been slow and not as numerous as they were....

quick question for coke_dude....

that link posted ..is it a replacement or an update to kazaalite? I mean will it erase all my current kazaa downloads (will I have to back em up before I install it and loose all the stuff Ive downloaded) or is it an update that can be inastalled `safely` to improve my current kazaalite?
