RE: Complete Bond Collection £9.99 pre-order

Worth a go, however looking at T&C`s i`ll be surprised if they honour it, still placed my order last night.

Now on the site at £99.99, just waiting for the `oops we`ve made a cock-up` email.

Thanks to original poster.

Wii Mario Kart

Just spotted this in my local ASDA, Mario Kart Wii (with wheel) for £27. Also available online with free delivery here

Just need to find a few cheap stearing wheels to go with it now!
:)

New Style 4gb Ipod Nano - Free

Its that time of year when my phone contract is up for renewal. I always take the opportunity to shop around to see what freebies are up for grabs, and use them for xmas presents!

Just got a deal from my local Orange shop (Portsmouth if it helps?) who are giving away the new style nano 4gig version (only had them in silver though). This was for any new monthly phone of £30 a month or more. Picked myself up an LG Viewty (just charging it, can`t wait to have a proper play with it!) This`ll do nicely for the teenager.

Anyway it wasn`t advertised in the shop, but assume it must be a national offer. The man in the shop said it was just this weekend.

Hope this is good for somebody. :)

RE: Cheap All-in-One Network Capable Printer

I`ve always had HP, and always used third party compatible inks without any problems.

Been using this printer for a couple of days now and very impressed with the results, pleased with my £65 bargain. :D

Any feedback on the best prices for ink?

Cheap All-in-One Network Capable Printer

Heading says it all! I wanted a cheap printer that the whole house could use instead of one on each of my many PC`s.

Came across the HP Photosmart PSC2575 at PC World for £64.99. I checked out Froogle and ebay and this did indeed seem like a bargain worthy of the bucket! It`s by far the cheapest network capable printer i`ve found.

Link here

Cheap inks dont seem to be a problem either, any suggestions on the best place to buy them?

Hope this helps someone.

RE: 21` Tv / Dvd Combi £59.97 - Sainsburys

My 5year old is now watching her Region 1 of Finding Nemo, no need for a hack. Region one straight out of the box.

RE: 21` Tv / Dvd Combi £59.97 - Sainsburys

Just been into Sainsburys in Hedge End to see for myself. Despite my phoning the customer service desk on Monday morning and being told `sold out`, guess what, they`ve got them in stock right in front of the customer service desk!

The make is their own brand LODOS, with no visible model number on the box, although on the back of the TV it has the imaginative model number 21TVDVD. Silver finish, twin scart, remote control and fastext. Not bad for £59.49

If it helps anyone the barcode on the ticket (which I have in front of me, still attached to the box) is 586-6265279-0-00-1

Many thanks to the OP

RE: 21` Tv / Dvd Combi £59.97 - Sainsburys

I phoned the Hedge End store at 7am this morning (took me till 10am though to get through to somebody who could check), all sold out. Apparently they are only going to be selling Sony?! Tried a couple of other local stores, who didn`t know anything either.

RE: Pye PRV645 DVD recorder (Philips 610 `re-work`) £99.97 in ADSA

Been looking for a budget DVD recorder for some time, and this looks pretty good for the money.

However I have come across this
which looks really interesting. It`s a +R/RW recorder for £89.99 (+£7.99 p&p), and it`s got more inputs and outputs on it than you can shake a stick at, including DV in and USB in. For a sub £100 it`s seems not bad, any thoughts?

DVD Recorder £79.97 at Tesco

Saw this deal in my local Tesco`s at £79.97. I`ve done a search for the make and model on the net, but drew a blank. went back to Tesco to double check the model number, and i` got it right, i`m not going mad.

It`s an Alba RDVD-1002 (100% on model number, checked it twice!!! :D ), looks like a limited offer, reduced from £89.97.

Good deal? or pile of kac?

RE: Cheap 30" LCD TV @ Staples

These TV`s went down in price today 22nd August. All Staples boxed stock has been sent back (because they cant really sell TV`s, not their market place. Nothing wrong with the equiptment at all).

So any you find at £499 should be display models only.

RE: ToolStation

Cant praise this online company enough. Used them for the first time a couple of weeks ago, ordered a couple of items (below £40) so had to pay for their next day express delivery, which was only a fiver. Ordered on Sunday, so expected delivery on Tuesday. Toolstation dispatched items on Monday as promised, but Parcelforce failed to deliver on Tuesday. A quick email to Toolstation, and within an hour a very helpful chap called Ross phoned me, apologised for the delay, had chased up parcelforce, and refunded my delivery charge!

Although the value of my purchase was small, the level of service was superb. I will definately be using them again.

RE: Woolies Laptop £399 half price

Dont know if this is of any help. Staples are selling an entry level Acer laptop for £399, from memory I think it was a celeron, 40gig HD, and cd/dvd writer (yes dvd writer), 256 memory. Not advertised on their website, but should be instore, if its not ask, as there should be large stocks available any time.

RE: Very very cheap mobile deal - £1.99month. 500xnet & 100 texts. Now with catches!!!

Phoned them at 9am this morning (answered phone at 9.20). Here are the facts. It is a 12 month contract, but is also a chequeback. You pay £15 a month for first 3 months, then £30 a month thereafter, chequeback on months 6 and 12.

Needless to say I have cancelled my order. Earlier on I put a link to where they detail this deal, which makes no mention of the chequeback. I was told it is in their t+c`s, which takes you to an 8 page PDF file (still couldn`t find anything). Some very misleading advertising here. I will be passing it onto trading standards.

RE: Very very cheap mobile deal - £1.99month. 500xnet & 100 texts. No catches!!!

Just tried to call them like imy69, I would be interested in how you managed to speak to them though, because they are closed on a Sunday!

Here is the link to the page that lists all their current tariffs. In the third box which details Talk and Text 400, it makes no mention of 18month contract, nor does it link anywhere to a chequeback promotion. However I will be calling them first thing Monday. If anyone can show where it says 18months, chequeback etc... i`ll cancel my order.

RE: Very very cheap mobile deal - £1.99month. 500xnet & 100 texts. No catches!!!

Thanks for your posting imy69, i`ve just double checked the site which clearly says 12 months, and no mention of an 18month contract or cashback, otherwise I would not have bought one. Just going to phone them myself. I`ll re-post once i`ve spoken to them.

Very very cheap mobile deal - £1.99month. 500xnet & 100 texts. No catches!!!

Just seen this deal for £1.99 a month. Includes 500 crossnetwork anytime minutes, and 100 free texts, this is for an NEC E338 or Motorola C975 (both handsets free)

I`ve checked over the site and cant find a catch. Only things to be mindful of are the 3 months free insurance (which probably costs a bomb after 3 months, so be sure to cancel). The handset (certainly the NEC) is lacking in some desirable features e.g no bluetooth or expansion slot. Upon ordering you will be charged a £2.50 admin fee.

So for a total yearly outlay of £26.38 (assuming the teenager its for doesn`t go over the 500 min limit) I think thats a good deal. Bearing in mind its costing her £10 a month for her O2 pay and go. Might even stop the family from using the landline phone, and get another one of these, seems cheaper way of making calls.

Hopefully somebody will find this useful.

RE: 50 DVD-R or DVD+R spindle packs...£9.01 from Staples!!!

I posted this a month ago here, and got zero replies!

These really are good discs, played in everything i`ve tried them in, recommended.

50 Blank 8 Speed DVD`s (+&-) £9

All Staples stores have just reduced all of their Samsung branded DVD spindles to £9.01

They are available in both plus and minus formats, and are 8 speed. I`m currently paying about £5/£6 for cheaper unbranded discs, so this seems like a good buy at 18pence a disc.

10% Off Virtually Everything at Staples until 10/06

Staples are introducing a loyalty/rewards card where purchases make points, which equals money off vouchers, details here, same as Tescos card.

It`s called a Business Rewards card but it`s open to everybody, almost all Staples stores are launching the scheme right now. Anybody who registers in one of their stores, (just name and address) gets 10% Off their purchase that day - no catch! This initial 10% offer is only on until close on Friday.

Exclusions as far as I know are PC`s, Laptops, Mobile phones and Stamps. So for stocking up on photo paper, cd`s, computer accessories, stationary stuff like that, 10%`s not bad for your name and address only.

Motorola V171 Orange PAYG £29.99

Just been into local Woolies who are selling off the Motorola V171 PAYG mobile at half price for £29.99. Not sure if this is a good deal or not, seems cheap. Also on their website here

RE: Benq 19 inch TFT 199.99

This is a nation wide deal with Staples, being advertised in the press this weekend. Plenty of stock available.

26" LCD Telly - £444 at Staples

From Thursday 28th April Staples will be selling a 26" LCD TV for £444 (previously £599). Being sold under the brand name Phocus. No other details i`m afraid, other than they are very limited stock (max 2 or 3 per store at best). Also some decent discounts on some digital camera`s. Saw these deals going out tonight for tomorrow morning in my local store. Will post again if I get more info. :)

Sony Ericsson P910i for 25 notes, and 27 squid a month inc 200 x net.

The title says it all really, the Sony is one sexy mother of phone/PDA and can retail anywhere upto £500.

You might be lucky and get the handset for £150`ish but you`d have to pay in the region of £75 a month (dependant on service provider obviously).

I then came across this deal here, which gets you the P910i for £24.99 and £27 a month line rental. This gets you 200 anytime crossnetwork minutes (no texts though, but you can by them cheap enough) an additional 200minutes of evening calls for life!, and a thousand texts (evenings only) for 6 months.

The catch? It`s a 2 year contract. I phoned the company because it looked to good to be true, double checked I don`t have to claim a cash back at intervals throughout the contract or anything daft like that, and it all checks out. Looks like a good deal.

Your thoughts please.

RE: Mitac Mio with Route 66 GPS £249.99 at Staples

If you are imterested in this item but want to buy it without the supplied software then check out Novatech who are selling the Mio 168 minus software for £219.01 inc vat. Here is the link

RE: HP iPAQ rz1710 Pocket PC plus Tom Tom wired GPS SAVE 30% While stocks last

Very tempting at £230.99, but £188.99 would push me over the edge and navigate me all the way to my wallet.

Have just tried to complete an order to see if I can get it down to £188.99, but it would appear as though you get the 30% off their new(?) selling price of £329.99. Anybody know of a link that works to get it down to £189?

Canon IXUS i - 4mp camera £129.99 @ Staples

Just been into my local Staples where they`ve got on offer the rather sexy Canon Ixus i camera down to £129.99 (from £230 I think) until close of business on Sunday. Looks like a good deal, very tempted, anybody any views on this one?

Now where`s my credit card?

RE: RELISYS DVD Recorder for £89 @ STAPLES

Hi HappyHuntin`, I know for fact that the only DVD recorder that Staples sells is the Relisys. I would go to the store and ask them to scan the item for you.

RE: Slim 3.1 Mega Pixel Digital Camera

Looks like quite a good buy, anybody actually bought/used one of these. Thinking about buying one as a present for crimbo.

Done a bit of home work on the net and it looks as though this is made by a company called Premier, heres the link for what i`ve found out. Looks the same, same model number, think it`s the same (but if you buy one and it`s not, don`t come looking for me!)

RE: 600 watt power invertor £16.99+vat @ makro

Plug straight into your 12V cigarette lighter with supplied lead, or onto car battery with supplied leads and crocodile clips.
