No idea if this helps....but the actual wording on the discs are `Samsung Pleomax DVD-R 8X 120 MIN/4.7GB`

What`s the big issue about receiving replies? Are there points awarded for the number of replies. I didn`t see your original post, Mutant, but I`m sure many people at the time would have seen it and took advantage - maybe it`s just that they are not very good at saying thanks.

Cheers abraxas :)

Just looked on videohelp and these seem to be getting mixed reviews see here so I think I will wait a bit :/ .
I read somewhere that some of the Optodiscs were the slightly more pricey TY dye and was hoping that was what would show on these :¦

Im on my fourth spindle of these Samsung discs and have had no problems whatsoever!

And as for them being 4x and not 8x.....it clearly states that it is 8x on the discs and box!

May I take this opportunity to state that I will pass on any royalties and rights to Mutant for treading on his turf! :/

Well, they seem to burn fine at both 4x and 8x speeds on my pioneer 107, though there is an interesting caution on the side of the tub stating that using recorders that don`t support 8x writing speed may cause writing errors. It suggests a firmware update to your recorder.
