RE: WHAT`S THE LEGENDARY TOSHIBA BUDGET MODEL CALLED?

Oh, thanks for that. It`s for my girlfriend. I bought a NAD player which I`m not that impressed by but stuck with.

Thanks

Paul

WHAT`S THE LEGENDARY TOSHIBA BUDGET MODEL CALLED?

There`s a Toshiba DVD player that`s meant to be fantastic and only a hundred quid or so. Is it the SD-220? Please let me know.

Many thanks..

RE: EBAY DISC PURCHASE ERROR

Ah, could someone please explain the difference between a DVD and VCD?

Thanks...

RE: EBAY DISC PURCHASE ERROR

Yes, it`s a CD/ DVD. He calls it a DVD/VCD. He seems to have a lot of postive feedback on his site. Could it be the disc or the player?

EBAY DISC PURCHASE ERROR

I have bought a disc from someone on EBAY. He seems like a regular seller though the disc is clearly a copy. Unfotunately my NAD Multiregion player, purchased from Richer Sounds rejects the CD reporting a "Disc Error". Can anyone offer any explanation?
Many thanks,

Franco

40 year old man playing Xbox

C`mon. Is that a good thing? Or what?

RE: IMPORTANT ASK WESTY INFO

Westy, I emailed you an email absolutely falling over with politeness several months ago and you didn`t reply!

I was asking about my CAMBRIDGEAUDIO DVD300 which was great but had glitching on CDs. I have now exchanged it for a NAD but am not that happy with that either. Picture quality nor sound quality are as good as the Cambridge but no glitching.

NAD T-531

I`ve just bought a NAD T-531 but considering taking it back. Picture quality is ok but not excellent and the sound, for which NADs are supposedly fames, ain`t that great.

Has anyone else had experience of this model?

is NAD T-531 any good?

Hello, Has anyone heard anything about this DVD player? I was thinking of buying one and would be VERY grateful for any advice.

Many thanks!

PIONEER 656

This site is fine but has so few hardware reviews! Can anyone tell me of a decent hardware review site -or of any information relating to the new PIONEER 656 machine. Thanks..

RE: LIP-SYNCH ANNOYANCE!

Steve
I should point out that the sound on the audio side is fantastic. Rather annoying tendency to end CDs 3-4 seconds before the natural end of it. Lip synch VERY annoying though..

LIP-SYNCH ANNOYANCE!

I bought a Cambridge Audio DVD300 from Richer Sounds. There were a few teething problems with the CD element but it`s basically ok (just about, anyway). However, I`m finding that there is a lip-synch problem on DVDs -being slightly out of phase. I have a JVC TV which I bought about 4 years ago. I think it`s quite a good TV, if not the most modern. Is there any explanation about the lip-synch -or should I take the DVD player back to the store?

Help much appreciated..

RE: THE WEST WING

You`re right, I think. The bastards! Also, I`m bored waiting for Seinfeld to be released...

CAMBRIDGE AUDIO

Anyone tried out the Cambridge Audio DVD player from Richer Sounds?

UNPLUGGING THE DARNED SCART

I have a 4-year old non-widescreen tv. It has two scart sockets in the back but one of them doesn`t seem to work for DVD. So if I change from TV watching (via cable) to DVD viewing then I have to reach behind the TV to unplug and replug the scart. What am I doing wrong? (it`s killing me.)

THE WEST WING

Hello. I just bought the first volume of the American White House drama "The West Wing" from HMV. It features Series One, Episodes 1-11. I thought I might be able to get the remainder of the first series from Amazon.com but when I entered the name it didn`t even come up with the one I`ve got. Any ideas?

"EUROPEAN SALES FOR X-BOX HAVE BEEN DISAPPOINTING"

According to BBC news website. It looks as though Microsoft will not reach its sales targets here. Does this mean the price will come down??

"SEINFELD... NOW AVAILABLE ON DVD"

Can anyone tell me exactly why Seinfeld is not now available on DVD?

WHO`S DOING THE CHEAPEST DEAL ON THE X-BOX?

I`m thinking hight street retailers here since I`ve never bought something as large as this on the internet. So, what`s the best deal?

RE: Who has just bought the X Box??????????????????

Don`t sit on the fence, Ropes. Make a decision and stick to it, man.

RE: XBOX

DVD Crave are offering an X-box with three games for £305.

WHAT SHOULD I BUY MYSELF AS AN EASTER PRESENT TO MYSELF?

Well, what? You can`t seriously expect me to take decisions like this for myself.

P.S. you could always buy me something if you want. You know you want to.

RE: Who has just bought the X Box??????????????????

I have to agree with some of the postings. I`ve been considering buying x-box but, quite frankly, having seen HALO (which the magazine EDGE has been sycophantically raving about) I`m not that impressed. I mean, it looks good but not that good. I find it disappointing when magazines like EDGE write great reviews clearly aiming to get some quid pro quo advertising from Microsoft or Sony. They`re meant to be serving the reader!

SEINFELD

Does anyone know why SEINFELD is not available on DVD (or video for that matter)?

RE: LIP-SYNCH PROBLEM

The disc is "Seven"
the type of soundtrack, I haven`t the faintest idea
the player is a Cambridge Audio DVD300

LIP-SYNCH PROBLEM

I have just bought a DVD from DVDCRAVE in Australia. The speech is slightly out of phase with the picture. Is this common? Is there anything I can do about it?

Any help appreciated...

RE: X-Box - im not sure!!!

You all need your heads examining. What`s wrong with doing a crossword or reading a good book? How about taking a walk and getting some fresh air? Why not do some volunteer work with the elderly or taking up chess?
