LIP-SYNCH ANNOYANCE!

Paul Franco (Competent) posted this on Thursday, 5th December 2002, 16:38

I bought a Cambridge Audio DVD300 from Richer Sounds. There were a few teething problems with the CD element but it`s basically ok (just about, anyway). However, I`m finding that there is a lip-synch problem on DVDs -being slightly out of phase. I have a JVC TV which I bought about 4 years ago. I think it`s quite a good TV, if not the most modern. Is there any explanation about the lip-synch -or should I take the DVD player back to the store?

Help much appreciated..

Lip-sync problems is a fault with the player and are quite often cured with a software upgrade. I think a return to the dealer for a refund is best since the audio side is not so hot either.

Steve
I should point out that the sound on the audio side is fantastic. Rather annoying tendency to end CDs 3-4 seconds before the natural end of it. Lip synch VERY annoying though..
