WHAT`S THE LEGENDARY TOSHIBA BUDGET MODEL CALLED?

Paul Franco (Competent) posted this on Saturday, 2nd August 2003, 22:35

There`s a Toshiba DVD player that`s meant to be fantastic and only a hundred quid or so. Is it the SD-220? Please let me know.

Many thanks..

The 220e is legendary in its own right, however that is all set to change as it`s newer, more slimline companion has arrived, the 330e.

Amazing player for the money, the picture is staggering in particular.

Available from Richers and Amazon for the paltry sum of £80. You really can`t grumble

Oh, thanks for that. It`s for my girlfriend. I bought a NAD player which I`m not that impressed by but stuck with.

Thanks

Paul

FAO anyone getting or thinking of getting the 220. Never mind paying the extra £15 - 20 for the multi region model. Buy a R2 model and do a search at http://www.dvdrhelp.com for sd220e firmware or reviews and you should find a link to a download site for the multi-region file. If you do not manage to find it I could send you an e-mail or the disc with the firmware update on it. The update works as prior to using it we could not play a R1 disc but after update it played instantly with no problem. Just send a p-mail.

HTH

Choagy :)
