LIP-SYNCH PROBLEM

Paul Franco (Competent) posted this on Wednesday, 13th March 2002, 09:06

I have just bought a DVD from DVDCRAVE in Australia. The speech is slightly out of phase with the picture. Is this common? Is there anything I can do about it?

Any help appreciated...

I sometimes have that problem with some DVDs. All I tend to do is press Stop on the remote, wait a few secs and then press Play again (which should carry on from where you left off). Has woked every time...so far. Other than that, it could be that your machine needs a firmware upgrade, all depending on what it is of course. OR.....it could just be a duff disk :-).

It would help if you told us (a) the disc (b) the type of soundtrack (DD 5.1 or dts) and (c) the player
