Refuse to watch the video but seen the news coverage , video below is talk sport not the sickening attack on a poor defenceless cat in front of his kids, kicking across the room, slapping its face and seemingly really enjoying himself . RSPCA should prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law and his club should sack him, really despair about what the World is coming to when this is filmed knowing it will hit social media and he thinks an apology makes it ok

This 👆, also how are his kids going to have any sort of empathy for animals, it's not going to come from him clearly.
Don't want to watch the video either. That Netflix documentary as horrible enough!

"Don't f*** With Cats"? I won't watch that either, even if the guy gets his comeuppance.
I've watched it and. yes, it's horrific. You wonder how he treats his cat when he's NOT being filmed and to do this in front of his kid beggars belief. The self-entitled bubble these multi-millionaires live in must make it worth it to their partners, I guess.
Should never play again but we all know that West Ham will make a show of saying how disgusted they are, not play him for a few games and then he'll be back as if nothing happened. Money talks.
started the game, unsurprisingly both sets of fans booed his every touch but thoroughly disgusted by West Ham and Moyes in particular hope they get the same treatment as the poor cat did, even though their own fans were as against him as we were
I think the club have acted quite well, fining him the maximum amount and donating it to an animal charity.
Haven't seen the video and have no wish to... he should be dealt with the same as any other person who commits such a crime (regardless of his profession/alleged celebrity status).
The law is the law, and any process should be fair, and the penalty, where guilty should have no bearing on a persons status, unless that has been used in committing the offence... example in a public office etc.
Where fines/penalties are concerned, this is where they should index/earning related, so if you get a £100 fine and earn £400 a week its 25%, therefore if you earn £100,000 a week it should be £25,000.
That goes for any fines, including motoring offences. (although some of these I think a persons vehicle should be forfeited and crushed)
Just my thoughts...

The problem is whether we like it or not, these people are an influence on kids, so if it looks like the club lets them get away with it, then that looks bad.
Look at other footballers who have done their time, or been found not guilty, and how society reacts to them playing again.
when Joey Barton became manager of a mate's football team, he said several ppl he knew didn't renew season tickets as a protest, he said he didn't like the idea of supporting a team managed by that person, who was therefore an influence on his kids.
heard this on the news earlier

Dagenham & Redbridge have said Yoan Zouma will not play for the club until the conclusion of an RSPCA investigation into a video of his brother kicking a cat.
Zouma, 23, reportedly filmed West Ham defender Kurt Zouma kicking and slapping one of his pets.i wonder what would have happened if they had been due a match before the west ham one with the booing?
