Well, a decent opposition should put paid to that.
Sadly that ain't gonna happen so all we can do is hope that May is not the egotist that Cameron was...

Nigel Farage has decided not to stand as an MP.

Funny that.
Farage not standing.
Cos I can't stand him.
Apparently on record as saying they'll be a Tory landslide so no point?
Nice to see Labour putting the bright ones up first.

Maybe we've finally seen the back of this one-policy prat. He couldn't even win a seat when UKIP were flying high, I guess he's finally realised he won't now they are crashing and burning.

There is also the little matter that, under new rules, Farridge would lose his very considerable EU pension if he were to become an MP - even though he has managed to fail in this 7 times previously.

RE: [VIDEO] The shock general election thread
So, local news in the south east reports that Farridge isn't standing. This apparently requires that they do a bunch of vox pops in racism-central-kent to get the opinions of some old people and a live on camera interview with the man himself who is not an MP or leader of UKIP. Why does the media love this creep so much?

I'm from kent and I agree with this statement. It's embarassing sometimes.

Because he generates a reaction every time he opens his mouth, and that sells
I do find it interesting that today Theresa may pledged to continue sending money overseas - something the Brexiteers were staunchly against, and Phillip hammod wants to overturn their 2015 pledge not to raise VAT, Income tax & N.I.
If they want votes from the man in the street, they're going a funny way about it

Im just going to put this out there, but i think May is in for a surprising bloody nose, I certainly hope that people who didn't vote in the referendum may just realise how important their vote is and say what you want about labour, this is the most labour labour for decades!!
RE: [VIDEO] The shock general election thread
Any bloody nose she gets wont be via Corbyn but from people both voting Lib Dem and voting on a non party but pro EU basis.
She wanted a stronger mandate to negotiate the exit and she may well get it in number of seats but not in how they're made up.

I remember my brother telling me when he was a schoolboy he was with French exchange students on a train speaking French. Assuming he was also French he was aggressively told by other passengers to "only speak English, you're in England now".

I think she might get a rougher ride than many expect. This tactical voting thing is getting a bit of traction
