Responsible for many a young man needing glasses.

Nice lady on the rare occasion I saw any interviews. I don't recall her seeking the public eye much beyond professional requirements.
Though I gather she was out giving support to the Lib Dems in the past which went past my radar.

I think I'd settle for 94, until/if I'm 93.

RE: [VIDEO] The Official Title For Star Wars: Episode IX Revealed

Just catching up on the latest ones on my daughters Disney plus subscription.
I'm completely out of touch with the order of them ie: four was the first etc.
The Force Awakens is so much better than Rogue One which I found a bit of a plod. Last Jedi on the list for this week.

I tried the first two episodes of The Mandalorian and find it quite disappointing. Trying, not very successfully, to be Fistful of Dollars with spaceships and a main character with even less expression than Eastwood.
Difficult to have any sympathy/empathy with someone who has a cross between and toaster and a kettle on his bonce 24/7.

Externally no but he does like to be photo op'd on his bike or jogging.
Maybe like me he's got decent core strength and a six pack but it's just very well lagged.

RE: Audacity with microphone

I've been through every setting I can get access to but the driver is the Win 10 generic USB one and states it's the latest/best available when I try to update it.
I'll keep looking but I think it's a case of everything up to max and filter out background hiss etc as a post production process.
Either that or a different mic via the 3.5mm jack.

Reluctant to do that as I just bought it to try recording my fast fiction with a view to dipping a toe in the podcast world. I need to have a listen first just to see if my toes don't curl too much at the sound of my own voice.

What they have at the moment, which is the way it works, is policing by consent.
If they try and lock people down to their own property that consent is likely to be withdrawn. Even for those of us lucky enough to have a garden I won't be walking the dog just round the edge of the lawn.

Entirely probable that a general 'They can't arrest all of us' will prevail which will overload the police and courts, which I don't think are sitting much if at all.

It's a very short step from there to martial law.

Putting Bandi's hat on for a minute maybe Johnson is politically unwell and wants someone else (Raab) to take the rap for this bit.

RE: Audacity with microphone

There is a mic socket on the PC (3.5mm jack) but the mic purchased only has a USB lead which all shows up and works fine just damn all volume.
No Mic boost just a straight forward volume slider.

EDIT: After a bit more of a play by cranking everything available up to max I'm getting a just about acceptable level on voice but it means everything else is up as well ie: background hiss.
That's in Audacity still barely registers on the 'Test your mic' in sound settings.

RE: Audacity with microphone

It's a fair point that it may not be Audacity.

Go into windows sound settings and and although it appears as the microphone option try 'Test Microphone' and even just 4 inches from it with a raised voice it barely registers.

Still don't accept this is my fault but the only way to find anything is to switch all search filters off and make the choice from the results rather than search just within films.

Audacity with microphone

I've bough a Trust GXT 232 microphone which I'm using with Audacity.

I'm having problems getting any sound level at all which doesn't seem to be an uncommon problem when I Google it but all the answers seem to apply to things that are already set correctly.
Anyone have any sound background to offer a few pointers.

Labour

Labour seem to have put the more sensible option in charge but it remains to be seen who gets in the shadow cabinet and possibly more to the point who doesn't.
How many of the three pound takeover throw their hand in and how many stay and cause as much trouble as possible.
I don't think Momentum are going to shrivel up and die so right now as a non party, and never likely to be, member. My stance as a voter is standing watching with arms crossed and a 'Go on then' attitude.

I would argue there's a deal of difference between self control and police control.
There is no list of necessities and supermarkets still have the racks of bedding plants by the entrance as you go in which to some is less necessary than booze. Or are we even more in need of some beauty in life right now.

As much of an ar**hole as you think that neighbour is I suspect he'd win an appeal against that fine if he chose to lodge one.

No, the option to do that is there but it's just a useless search function and frankly trying to wade through their interminable structure of help options is more of my life than I'm prepared to spare.

Amazon Prime

Anyone on here with Amazon Prime.
Am I totally stupid or is their search facility on Prime video the most useless thing on the whole internet.

John Wick 3 and about the third choice is Stan & Ollie but not John Wick 1,2,or3.

Equalizer 2
First choice The Commuter no Equalizer either 1 or 2.

Any movie I put in and the choices bare no relation to the search term.

I'm guessing you've tried all the other options.
Drain cleaner, plunger, one of those snake doo dahs.
Still have a hole in the plasterboard ceiling leading from utility room to garage from a leaking drainage pipe.
Too far from any entry point to try those options.

Any idea that the time off will be spent catching up on movies or gaming pure fantasy.
T'other half has a list.

EDIT: That's interesting. Just noticed the site is not on British summer time.
