It would take a considerable amount of money to get me to watch a Borat movie.

RE: [VIDEO] The Trump Presidency

One thing which the polls will have trouble with is they seem to be heading for a record turnout with an awful lot of previously unregistered voters.

I hadn't realised until this election that November 3rd is not so much polling day as the last day of polling. I think I heard the figure of 38 million votes already cast.

RE: [VIDEO] RIP James Randi

I am a total believer in UFOs.

There are airborne objects that have been spotted which are unexplained, that's exactly what the initialism means.
It's been hijacked over the years to mean stuff piloted by alien intelligence, which it ain't until ET points his little glowing finger at me and points to home.

Bandi your whole theory above seems pure MIB and or Von Daniken.

RE: Arsenal 2020/21 Season

Well a win's a win but it would've been nice if someone told the team kick off was a 17.55 not 19.15.
A performance best forgotten, particularly by Leno, but with some highlights.

Partey keeps his 100% record, two games two bookings. He is looking good though and not needing much acclimatisation. The other new signing Gabriel is also shaping up well.
Bellerin and Auba linked perfectly once subbed on.

Somewhat amazed we finished with 11 on the pitch as the ref seemed very fussy and I confess to being surprised there were only 4 bookings on each side as it seemed like more.
Before anyone jumps on it yes there was an instance or two where you could claim we got away with it but over all I think he was a bit odd with his decisions.

That's still very much 'claimed' right now. Last I heard nobody's seen any proof.

He does seem to be imploding right now with the whole storming out of the 60 minutes interview thing.
Let's see how the debate goes tonight with the mute button enabled.

RE: [VIDEO] Coronavirus, anyone starting to get worried?

I've just been reading that.
I think as someone commented they're going power mad.

If they are going to try and list what is essential that is a long dark road which will swallow them.
Preventing the spread of infection is one thing trying to govern peoples entire life style is quite another and if they're going to try and make everyone tea total there could be a riot.

VAR works perfectly.
It's the application of it that's a problem.
What happened to 'clear and obvious errors'?

I'll repeat what I've said before. No more than twenty seconds and or two replays to review a decision. If nothing's obvious after that then leave the ref's real time decision standing.
That doesn't include the ability/responsibility of the off field official to bring the refs attention to off the ball incidents and things he's plainly missed.

Yes that incident should have been looked at but it's significant that I don't recall us screaming at the ref about it.

RE: Virtual reality

I don't think it's at the top of the shopping list, lottery wins aside, but I am curious to give it a go.
Room size environments, Nah.
I have a man cave but there's bigger walk in wardrobes.
What sparked the interest again was listening to an interview with the guy who started the Drone Racing League and the fact their simulator is available as a game and they even select real life competitors from the winners of that.
No I have no delusions that I'd be one of them.

Virtual reality

Does anyone have this and care to comment on equipment and the pros and cons.
I've never even tried it so I'm about as genned up as a quick Google and the odd bit on Beeb's Click program.

RE: [VIDEO] The Trump Presidency

Trumps is on record as saying, maybe half joking, that if he loses he will leave the USA.
I've asked this in a couple of places but can't get an answer.

If an ex President plans to leave the country permanently do the FBI, CIA or any other level of government have a say in where he can go? The prospect of him going to live in Putin's Russia and being pumped for all the information and briefings they say he never pays any attention to must freak those organisations out.

Happy fingers

Had a really shi**y day the first day of the new lockdown which coincided with Amazon Prime day.
It could have ended worse than it did with just a small bit of retail therapy but a discounted cordless keyboard and mouse presented itself.
As the symbols on the number keys of my old one were practically illegible and the 2 key needed a particularly hard thump to register...'Click to buy'.

Why the hell hadn't I done it long ago. Until you use a decent keyboard you don't realise what a pile of junk you've been pounding at for the last 2 or 3 years.

Very little.
They've extended the self employed compensation but at a level of 20% of profits.
Might represent a weekend shop.

I may be wrong but I can't see many people moving about when there's nowhere to go.
It's always been a job based on luck to a certain extent. Five jobs going the minimum fare won't even put fuel in the car but if someone jumps in and says 'Manchester wait and return' happy days.

I guess I'll be catching up on even more films.

Let's look on the positive side, less passengers less chance of getting it.
