BBC Fraud and police gathering evidence

Expect the BBC PR machine to go into overdrive on this one.

HR Director paid an eye watering £320k pa and mega pay offs from licence payers` money

Perhaps she can justify her pay

We can only wait and see

I don`t expect any BBC `journalist` to let anywhere near this

So cover up here we come

And don`t forget the 99 million they just wasted on an IT system that doesn`t work! Oh and don`t expect any sort of anti beeb solidarity on this forum Mike most of `em are pro BBCers. :(

I'm very pro-BBC, for many reasons.

That doesn't stop me finding these pay offs disgusting and believing everything should be done to investigate them and anyone found to have done wrong should be held to account.

It just means when Newsnight or the Today Programme get one story wrong, I don't think they should be shut down and leave us with heavyweights like This Morning to hold our politicians to account.

If you knew how much money was spent on CEEFAX over the years on the old text system you would have been shocked. Considering the amount of subjects and the number of departments of people gathering data and updating each day, it was crazy.

Since the introduction of digital services (and the modern internet where you can get instant written information), the newer digital text services have now been cut right back in size to a shadow of its former self.

This minimal text is on many digital TV services now, and not just the BBC.

I hardly use TV text nowadays, yet in its heyday, I always memorised specific page numbers to get info, like whats on Doctor Who this week, and used to sit chomping the bit waiting the pages to turn slooooowly to page 25 of 29 and it was on page 1 of 29

When multi-million pound BBC mainstay superstar Graham Norton says the BBC overpaid its execs, then you know they have a problem!
