Page 1 of Number plates question

Have you ever noticed (as Duncan Thickett might say) that the last three letters of a car number plate (proper ones that is, not pointless personalised ones) never spell a proper word. Probability dictates that random arrangements of any three letters would throw up some proper words but I can`t remember the last time I saw one (maybe I should keep my eyes on the road more). it`s a conspiracy... probably.

pointless personalised ones are `proper` ones... and no Im not saying that because Ive got one because I dont lol
Theres loads that end with FOX, CUP, MUG, etc go on the dvla website and enter random 3 letter words in the search box and you will see hundreds of the things

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary
I think the only DVLA rule on issuing the last three letter on ordinary number plates, is that it does not spell a rude word like BUM. etc.
I have seen private ones, like 1UP U though :D
