I have been watching old episodes of Clive James, Postcard from. Pure class. The man is a god. What is he up to now? Is he still writing/presenting?

clive james is one of my heros. the mans a genius.

Have you read Even as we Speak, essays from Clive James. It`s a brilliant book. I remember the postcards from havana one that was great, very dry.

He also released a folk record didn`t he when he was in his twentys I think?

Hes a funny guy...It might have been one of his `postcards` I remember where he went to china or japan and stayed in a wierd hotel where all guests slept in a long thin bunk with a tv at one end and a radio etc..his bunk was about 6 foot up and watching him trying to climb up the ladder and get in feet first was hillarious :D

I`ve gotta agree with you. Watching CJ again reminds me of being allowed to stay up late as a kid when staying with my Grandfolks for some reason. Strange but fond memories. Same with Auf Wiedersehn Pet and disturbingly Jonathan Kings Entertainment U.S.A.

Loved Watching the Clive James shows in the early 80`s...introduced us to

1) The Japanese Game show "Endurance"
Still recall the show where magnifying glasses where used to fry off the contestants nipples, or a beaver shoved down their pants.

2) The useless singer, Margareeta Prakatan ??? who`s inability to sing well known songs at the end of his shows, always threw me in hysterical laughter.

Hey !! Stop Reloading the Matrix,...it`s doing my head in

I met him once in a pub in manchester.

I bought him a drink so that won me a few minutes with him to chat.

Very nice man.
