Witherspoons Curry nite - yum!!!
As an Indian who obviously eats curry (normally home-made) my advice for anyone serving curry is this -
I"f you get indians coming in for a curry you`re definitely onto a winner" 8)
Tonight my whole footy team (indian) are all going to Witherspoons for a curry. Cant go wrong with a Pint, curry, 2 naan, 2 puppodam, rice and mango chutney for a fiver!!!!!
Ive been to various Withersoons pubs on a thursday nite and they`re always rammed!
Yum.

Everytime I tried it at the Aberystwyth branch when I was a student they usually didn`t
have more than two options, and eb=ven then it took over an hour and a half each of the three times we went.
Can`t fault it for a fiver though, even though we each probably gave them another £10 worth of business in drinking whilst waiting for it

My local Wetherspoons has extended Curry Night to be a Leo Sayer on Thursdays.

In saying that I have never tried my locals food
would you believe there are 2 Wetherspoons Bars in Derry in Northern Ireland
One is called the Ice Wharf which is good but the main one is Wetherspoons of the Diamond
If im out for a night I would start off in WS and get cheap drink
Happy Days
I`ve a couple near me one in Orpington called The Harvest Moon where I regularly go for lunch of a 6oz burger in a bun, Chips, Salad and a pint of Fosters all for £3.39 which puts shame to MaccyDs or BK. The other is simply called "The Wetherspoon" and is in Bromley it used to be a Supermarket and still ends up completely packed out 3 deep at the bar and f***ing deafening from everyone talking (they don`t do music). All in all good quality and damn cheap, if you`ve never been find one and enjoy!

I was only in the one in Belfast twice and both times it was full of underage spides (neds/kevs, whatever you want to call them) out looking for trouble, which seems to be on tap judging from the amount of times I`ve seen the cops/ambulances outside the place.
I`ve been in Wetherspoons pubs in London and on the Isle of Wight and they have been great but the Belfast one is just like drinking in a hateful airport departure lounge where everybody`s flight is delayed for 12 hours and it`s full of dicks in orange short-sleeved shirts (yes, especially in winter). So the cheap booze comes at a price.

We`ve got quite a few Wetherspoons in Liverpool and you can`t fault the value. They do pretty good kids meals for £2.49 which includes a fruit shoot drink as I`m trying to wean them off McDonalds. I`ve never tried the curry night but have heard good things about it. I`ve even heard they have a Wetherspoons in Playa De Las Americas, Tenerife!!

Chicken Phaal is F******n Hot, try it, you will like it
retroman,
Where about in Liverpool are you?
I`ve been in Bristol for the past 3 weeks and found one on Thursday night. Did bottles of Penfolds Koonunga Hill for £7.99. Bargain. Had to have two. ;-)
Steak Out meals too. About a fiver for a steak and a drink.
Wasn`t paying though so didn`t eat there ;-)

in lancaster, the curry club meal is only 3.99. sorry to rub it in but it does make it an even better meal, especially for skanky students like myself
