RE: LOST - The Complete first season dvd set - Region 1

That made me laugh! Must be a sick joke. I am sure. He`s likely to finish seeing it on C4 by the time they ship it. And not forgetting the Customs Fee - thank you - £10 + lighter in the pocket

RE: Complaints for DVDSoon - somewhere to send complaint to...

You can add and email the following in higher management and "The Customer is Sh**" DVDSOON/LATE.COM

draiuGe[at]moc.noosdvd

The Top one is a senior Manager Nataha`s boss and the one below is the MD - who cannot be bothered - same for both actually.

Hope this helps

RE: Sin City Region 1 - where to buy?

What`s the point in waiting for a release, where there isn`t an official release date yet - you could be waiting and waiting and.....why not go for the inexpensive R3 Edition - around £12.89 Delivered and out on the 19th Aug, 5 weeks before the UK R2 Release! Check out the available covers here, plus you get a Jessica Alba Card -

RE: DVDSoon Processing Time Records

I couldn`t agree with you more Lee. They hold on to your money and hold on to it and hold on to it and.....i won`t go on. Don`t go near them. They change terms and conditions on offers too. One minute a fidelity Card Member gets FREE shipping on everything then the next minute on slected items. Their Customer Service is non existant - they just don`t listen to complaints and take them seriously!

RE: DVDSOON Customer Service IS RUBBISH!

I just logged on to my account one day and it was there - so i had a nosey. If you don`t mind POOR Service and taking a chance on a LONG WAIT! then DVDSOON.COM is yours. But remember that their CS is charged at international Rates.

RE: DVDSOON Customer Service IS RUBBISH!

good point. but just wanted to share my experience with any potentional DVDSOON buyers out there.

DVDSOON Customer Service IS RUBBISH!

Hi Guys,

As a long-term Platinum member at DVDSoon .com I thought they would treat me with a bit more respect and offer me a reasonable to high level of Customer Service - but how wrong I was.

My experiences of DVDSOON.COM have on the whole been reasonably good over the last 2 years but recently; I judge a company on how they react to complaints and problems DVDSOON.COM just don`t take these seriously. Somehow I managed to get hold of their Call Logging for me and this is a snippet of what they had to say about me after I lodged a complaint about yet another delay on an order -

"esSpoke with client. he refuses to speak with customer service as they are unhelful and not willing to give information. Client only wants to wine about being a platinum member and he needs to get perfect service. Client seems to have a fetish for 48 - 72 hours and compesation".

Yep I do want a perfect service and when things go wrong I expect to be compensated in some way for the disappoint and loss of my time. I do not have a fetish about 48-72 hrs, but if DVDSOON say that an order has this status then it should stick to it and it should be IN STOCK reasy to ship within this time scale. Am i being unreasonable?

DVDSOONS policy now appears to be - Advertise a New Release at a very low price, take as many up front orders as possible (holding on to your cash) then making you wait and wait and wait, till you get fed up and cancel. My latest order had a status of IN STOCK (If you are to stand any chance of getting an order I would recommend waiting for this Status first) although Pre Orders usually ship on time if you are lucky, otherwise their line is "you need to allow up to 2-4 weeks after the release date on some titles! Anyway I ordered two titles that had a status of IN STOCK. They went form there to ON HAND, then IN Packaging, then back to ON ORDER after about a week. There explanation was that they had a systems error, last time it was the item must have arrived in stock damaged. You just can`t get a clear explanation from them or apology or any sense of urgency when you complain - only if you threaten to list your complaint on a forum like this, then they offer you a $10 Coupon and say go away and class you as a "Winer".

I am still confused by there Stock Status` . Some New Releases and Old DO NOT have any Stock Status at all. You contact them and you get a standard Copy and Paste response. They just can`t give you any detail on when an item on order will be available to ship. You just have to wait and keep your fingers and toes crossed.

It is all a lottery with DVDSOON.COM, you place your order and you have to be prepared for the worst and a long wait. But personally i have had enough with emailing them, phoning them in Canada and getting Advisors that have no authority to do anything and managers that refuse to take the time to talk to you and do not bother to return calls. I would rather pay a bit extra and get my order shipped on time. The small savings and all the headache that goes with ordering from DVDSOON.COM just isn`t worth it!

Don`t think you get a better service as a Platinum member, you most definitely DON`T!

If you have a complaint or are unhappy with DVDSOON.COM Service i would suggest emailing the CEO -

draiuGe[at]moc.noosdvd

or a Senior Manager -

Constantine (2 Disc) DELUXE ED

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is just the R1 Deluxe Ed that comes with the Comic Book? Do any of the other releases come with it too? E.g. the R2 Deluxe Ed

RE: Alone In The Dark Canadian Version - Does It Have DTS?

Thanks, That helps very much! Have a good weekend. I should have checked DVDcompare first.

RE: Alone In The Dark Canadian Version - Does It Have DTS?

I`ll ignore Matthew66 - I think that` s the best thing.

I know CDWOW have it listed as having a DTS Audio track, but everyone else doesn`t. So we need to get it from the horses mouth - i.e. someone who actually has a copy of the R1 Canadian/US Release.

Oh, the DVD Cover Art (rear) does not mention a DTS Audio Track. But this doesn`t always mean the Audio menu on the DVD doesn`t have a DTS Option?

RE: Alone In The Dark Canadian Version - Does It Have DTS?

Very Funny. I am guessing, by your response. you didn`t like this movie. Well you are entitled to your view. But I am not looking for a critique on the film only whether it has a dts audio track on the R1 Canadian Ed. Thanks

Okay, I am struggling to find a favourable review for this film. But i am as a result curious to see it myself to see just how bad it is. It`s only around the $20 CAD mark anyway.

Alone In The Dark Canadian Version - Does It Have DTS?

I`m thinking about buying the Canadian R1 Edition of this film. Does anyone know or have the disc and whether it has a DTS Audio track?

Cheers

RE: AVP R1 DVD £12.95 Delivered Plus Get Predator 2 Sp Ed For £9.99 Delivered

Yes, true but to be fair to the R1 Edition it does have the following extra footage, missing from the R2 Editions -

The DVD has an "Extended Version" which simply adds a 2 minute intro before the credits. It shows the whaling station in 1904, and a whaler is being chased. He enters a building and tries to hide, only for a Predator to de-cloak in front of him. As the camera cuts to the "Predator vision" though, it is clear that the hunter is chasing an Alien in the same room, which lunges at the camera. The movie then cuts to the opening titles and proceeds from there like the theatrical version.

imdb.com/title/tt0370263/alternateversions

The Extras for the R1 Edition are as follows to:

Audio Commentary with writer/director Paul W.S. Anderson and actors Lance Henriksen and Sanaa Lathan (theatrical version only)
Audio Commentary with Alien SFX creators Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr. and Predator actor John Bruno (theatrical version only) Extras:Extended Version with alternate opening sequence via seamless branching
Deleted Scenes:
- The Other Mexico (1:14)
- Connors` Death (0:33)
- Predator Humor (0:30)
"AVP Promo (making of)" featurette (23:13)
Dark Horse AVP Comic Book Covers
Inside Looks at "Elektra" and "Mr. And Mrs. Smith"
Bonus Trailers for:
- American Dad
- Superbowl XXXIX
DVD-ROM Features (requires HotLlama software, supplied on the disc):
- Read the first AVP Comic Book
- Making of the AVP Comics
- Sneak Peek of the latest AVP Graphic Novel
- Weblinks for AVP and Dark Horse Comics official websites

So it does have a few extras to be fair. Not forgetting the Extended Cut!

Team America World Police - R1 UNRATED vs R2

Hi All,

So this is another one of those American Releases that got re-edited to receive an R Rating at the US Cinema. Unlike SAW, it is getting an UNRATED R1 Release though.

What`s going on across the pond?

As far as I can see from the IMDB, the US Edition was re-edited from an NC-17 to get an R Rating. It deatils the Puppet Love Scene! The UK Version was not Re-edited!

I therefore believe that the UK Theatrical and therefore the R2 DVD Release will be the same as the US R1 Unrated Release.

I don`t know where you are looking, but play don
t have these at thhis price. Are the ones youu are talking about R1 or R2 - can you list the links to them - that would help. You`re talking about Predator Not Predator 2!
