RE: GADGETS AND USLESS BITS.........up to 80% OFF

Oh man.... I just had to buy the 1950`s Wall Phone for my new flat!!!!!

RE: Screw the TV polls, what`s the best music Video?

It has to be either....

Bruce Springsteen - Brilliant Disguise (so simple)

or

FatBoy Slim - Weapon of Choice (Christopher Walken dancing)

RE: Ever met anyone famous?

A few years ago I ended up sitting down and having a chat and a coffee in Starbucks (in Brighton) with Leslie Neilson.

I went to a party at Fatboy Slim`s house once and accidently broke one of Zoe Balls plates.

I used to work in a supermarket and would often serve people like, Steve Coogan, Chris Eubank, Cat Deely, Nick Berry, Stephen Tompkinson....

Bruce Springsteen shook my hand outside a concert in South Carolina whilst i was being interviewed on a local radio station (I flew all the way from Britain just to see that concert, they seemed amazed by that so asked me for an chat, just as `The Boss` was walking by!!!)

RE: Where`s Your Hell On Earth?

I`ve travelled round quite a bit of England now and everywhere I`ve been something bad has happened to me.... yet wherever i`ve been in the States I have had nothing but good experiences and great times!

One example: I went to see Bruce Springsteen at Crystal Palace... my wallet was stolen, some idiot spilt beer all over me and had ketchup spilt on me. I also went to see Bruce Springsteen in South Carolina and not only was I interviewed on the local radio, given loads of free stuff and managed to get a good close view of the stage, I also bumped into Bruce himself as I was wandering round to find a taxi!

I am not patriotic at all... I HATE England and really wish I could up and move to the good ol` US of A :D

RE: Where`s Your Hell On Earth?

I would have to say, my hell on earth would be.... England!

Oh dear... pt 2 (It gets worse!)

I finally managed to sort out my Payment Protection claim for my £13,000 loan.... except, I`ve been unemployed now for 8 months and before I was paying £610 per month off of my loan so was expecting to have nearly £9,000 paid off by the bank... NO I get a letter from them this morning saying they`ve authorised the claim and will be paying off £1100!!!!! What is the point of Payment Protection?????

I now have to try and find £12,000 to pay off this loan (the debt collectors have it now!) and also £7000 for 1 credit card and £4000 for another one

RE: Oh dear!!!!!

I`m definately not letting this get me down.... my friends think i`m weird because I always seem so happy when I should apparently be misirable and depressed because of this!!!!

I had a phone call from the debt collection people today, and they were really nice, they said I should call Norwich Union to see about trying to claim again on the Payment Protection (they even offered to call them for me!) - which I did and have been given a second chance to send the required documents to them (I now have a P45 but it`s one with the Job Centres details on it, not my old company)

:D

RE: What DVDs do you want that still has not been released !

Little Shop of Horrors Directors Cut!!!!! :D

An extended version of the film featuring the alternate ending an deleted scenes!

RE: Oh dear!!!!!

I actually had payment protection and did apply to use it.... but they turned me down!!!! I think it`s because I didn`t send them my P45 (they asked for it), which I don`t have as I was never given one when I was made redundant!

RE: Oh dear!!!!!

The problem is.... this is my parents house (they now live in Spain) and I share the place with my brother, so everything here is a mixture of mine, my parents and my brothers things! I was told they could only take items that belonged to me.... but now I`m not too sure!

I really don`t care if they take my stuff (my car`s not worth much and I don`t own much valuable stuff) but I think my parents might find out about my debt if they lose all their belongings! :)

Oh dear!!!!!

I think I could do with some advise......... Today I recieved a letter from a debt collection agency telling me they have been instructed by my bank (HSBC) to collect some money I owe them, unfortunately I don`t have much cash as I`m unemployed and not signing on right now!

I did call them earlier but it was engaged, so I`m a bit worried as I don`t know how I`m gonna pay back the `£14,000` I owe them!!!!!!!!!

If they come to start taking stuff from the house, can they take anything or is it only stuff that belongs to me?

Damn you Cash Converters!!!!

I went into town today to buy my usual Brie and Bacon baguette (£2.00) and ended up buying a 2nd hand PC from Cash Converters for £650!

It`s an AMD 3000+, 120Gb HDD, 512Mb DDR RAM, DVD Drive, DVD/RW, 15" TFT & Printer!

RE: Do you ever feel you don`t really belong where you`re living now ?

I always feel that way!

I was born in Brighton but moved down to Dorchester, Dorset when I was 3... I never felt I belonged down there (actually I never felt right when I was in my own house either, can you actually feel like you don`t belong with your own family?)
Then in 1997 we all moved back to Brighton and I`ve felt all along that I don`t belong here either!
I actually have to go out every night because I can`t stand spending time with my family (it may sound horrible but we never have any sort of conversation and everything my mother does p***es me off so much)

Hopefully though I`ll be able to pay all my debts off next year and then I`ll be outta here... I`m going straight to America for a 3 month (14,000 mile) road trip, just me on my own trying to find myself and figure my life out before it`s too late!

RE: Does anyone remember a programme called "Out of this world"

"Would you like to swing on a star, carry moonbeams home in a jar...."

I used to love this show when I was younger... or another one I always used to watch was (I can`t actually remember the name) about snow white waking up 100 years later in modern day America somewhere and getting into all sorts of hijinks with her family!

RE: What was your first live concert?

My first concert was Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band... Last Year!

I tried to get tickets to see them play at Wembley, but they sold out so instead I flew all the way to Columbia, South Carolina to see his concert there in December!!!! 8)
I flew over to America on 6th December... saw the concert on the 9th, Left America on the 10th, arrived back in England on the 11th and then went to see Oasis live in Brighton 5 hours later!

Then I went to both Springsteen shows at Crystal Palace in May and that`s about it!

RE: Funniest line or scene in "Only Fools and Horses" ?

(Totally unoriginal but...) Del Boy at the wine bar!!!!

RE: Whose the most famous person you have seen??????????

I was leaving Starbucks in Brighton and somebody walked into me spilling coffee onto my shirt... I looked up to be greeted by a very apologetic Leslie Neilson, who then proceeded to go back into Starbucks with me and buy another coffee!

Also working in Waitrose in Brighton I would often have to help out the odd celeb... Chris Eubank, Norman Cook, Zoe Ball, Cat Deeley, Steeve Coogan, Paul Whitehouse, A few people from Eastenders and once I even handed a bottle of water to Julianne Moore when she was in Brighton filming `End of the Affair`

One day I brushed past someone as I walked into a pub, I felt a bit wierd as everyone was staring at me, so I asked someone what they were looking at and they told me the bloke I walked past was `Noel Gallagher` - But that doesn`t impress me as I hate Oasis!

I`m looking for £400 (It`s gonna be expensve to deliver so collection from Brighton would be best)

I may split this lot... make me an offer!

RE: Anyone heard of Anthony Robbins? (corporate/life coach/mentor type jobby)

If you`ve seen `Shallow Hal` .... Anthony Robbins is the bloke who makes Jack Black see the `inner beauty` when they`re stuck in the elevator!

I wouldn`t mind going to one of his seminars, but I`ll have to make do with reading one of his books on my fight to Las Vegas tomorrow!

RE: Ghostwatch

This is the best site for Ghostwatch...

http://www.ghostwatch.info/

They also have this little bit of info on the front page -

"All news on the pending DVD will be placed here and also on a soon to be planned DVD page."

I`ve got a copy of it on video and even though watching it now it does seem incredibly fake.... some bits still do scare the crap outta me!

RE: Get at least £17.50 for a stake of £10

The first game I played on that bingo... I won £25 - after a few more games I have now made £50 profit!!!!

RE: Little Shop Of Horrors avaialble?

The 1986 version of `Little Shop` is my all time favourite film... I love it!

I`ve got the deleted R1 DVD with the alternate ending but I can only watch it at work on my PC as I don`t have a multi region DVD player yet.

I heard they were going to re-release the film in the cinemas with the alternate ending on it, but I don`t know if they will anymore... New York is terrorised by Audrey II`s

RE: Can someone identify this film....

I think the film you`re looking for is `Goliath Awaits`

It was a TV Movie made in 1981 starring Christopher Lee & Mark Harmon about the passenger liner "Goliath" which is sunk by a German atack during World War II. Portions of the ship`s hull remain airtight, and some of the passengers and crew survive. Over the decades, they build an isolated, rigidly regulated world, completely isolated from the surface world until contemporary times when a diving team begins to explore the wreck.

Hope this is the one you wanted!
