Go Pro

Snaps (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 20th June 2017, 11:56

My daughter is doing a 3 month backpack round SE Asia next Jan and wants to get a Go Pro but knows nothing about them.

A brief look around and it seems that the Go Pro Session at £149 with maybe the £18 dedicated grip would be ideal for her.

Does anyone on here have experience of action cams and have any suggestions or advice.

Just make sure its rugged, as my oldest son does the mountain bike stuff, and has an outdoor helmet cam, and i do not know how many he has been through due to falling off his bike.

it seems like from the evidence above you get what you pay for ;)

I've not used one, but seen pro footage which amazing, and footage from ex colleagues which is really good on proper Go Pros, no idea on how the alternatives compare.

Have crap battery life. I know had them on my bikes etc.

Now use a Garmin Virbe - easier to use and the battery life is a lot better.

My son has Go Pro. He has GoPro Fusion (CHDHZ-103) with Virtual Reality. I will not say that he often uses this function, but it is funny. Also not bad GoPro HERO5. I would choose it, the best value for money. Filming at a decent level, easy and well-kept charge.
My son can videotape anything he likes, because he turns to SPAMMING FORUMS when he has many tasks. He grows up a freedom-loving child. Does only what he wants. I even envy him of that.

I'll admit, they're taking a slower run-up these days

The beginning was confusing, the middle rambled a bit but the ending was a masterpiece: whimsical, life-affirming with a heart-warming pay-off. Can't wait until Netflix pick this up.
