as I said when talking about PS4 and 4k ultra super duper def blu ray, I can't believe how out of touch I am with modern tech now, go to Amazon quite regularly, work in IT, but this had completely slipped passed me!

Amazon Echo is finally coming to the UK
The smart speaker can be used to write shopping lists, play music and order pizza

I don't think I really want or need one, but I'll add to wishlist anyway ;)

I like what people have been hacking them to do, a cheap source of hardware!

It was quite funny a few weeks ago when Amazon announced they were making an announcement on the 14th Sept - when you asked Alexa what was happening on the 14th Sept..
Big announcement just before that from Sonos that they will be supporting and using Alexa to provide voice control for their system. As well as new Spotify Connect connectivity.
We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..
Call me back when it can make a decent cup of Tea.

500ish
I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary
They will also be selling the Echo Dot for £50, which is Alexa without the more expensive speaker.
I've always liked the idea of them but I can't think of any proper use for one yet.
I did see some hack a while back that allowed Tesla owners to summon the car to the front of the house from the garage.
Ah, I didn't imagine it:

Now that is ****ing neat.
If it can go down the offy for more ale I could be out of a job.

Got mine, wouldn't connect to wifi for the first three days but then just sorted itself out tonight. Sounds fantastic and plays from my Prime library really fast.
It also has a sense of humour...
