I on Avast on my Windows 10 machine, but stuck with Kaspersky on the Vista laptop as I can't find a decent alternative that still supports Vista.

Still Bitdefender, no idea how old the free version is now and even if it's still current. But the paid version (which you should always be able to get for under £21 for 3 devices for a year's subscription) works just fine on my Win7 desktop, Win10 games PC and Win7 laptop.

If you are using Bitdefender Free 2020, you need to make sure you've updated it:

Whilst I still use Bitdefender, I won't be renewing it when it comes around again. The build in Defender from Microsoft is really good, and has been consistently good for a while now.

So I recommend just using that on any Win 10 machine. I will be soon.

I've never used anything else since getting the new PC about 3 years ago and not had any problems.
Are there any issues with the built in stuff on an Apple. Daughters got and Macbook Air and she doesn't seem to have had any problems.

It's all I use now too on our Windows machines, plus a bit of malwarebytes.

I don't know anybody with Apple kit who uses antivirus software, unless they have to for work to pass a security thing.
