I bought the toshiba sd330. Good price. Great features can`t really go wrong. Although only thing odd i`ve noticed it has frozen a few times but other than that its fine. Does the job.

I also have a JVC XV-N33SL which is superb not one complaint about it :-)

I bought the Tosh 330 multi region from 24-7 to replace my sd220. Only because my TV is a tosh and the remote controls my dvd, tv and video. Is that lame reason or what?

:-)

Don`t think you`ll go far wrong with either TBH. I have the Pioneer DV350 and it looks great and plays everything that I want.
Amazon have the Tosh for £79.99 inc delivery and the Pioneer DV360 (replacement for the 350 - same as the 350 but with optical out as well) for £89.99. Both multiregion - both absolute bargains.

And if you take a printout of the Amazon offer to Richer Sounds, they`ll sell you a SD330 for £69.99.

What the flip-flops are you waiting for!!!!!!!!

Oooo hope you`re right! Ordered a 330 last night from Amazon, but got time to cancel before Richer Sounds open at 12 I hope. Please let them have one in stock at London Bridge!

Thx for the tip off!

Ok, here`s the skinny with Toshy SD300 Price Beating at Richer Sounds:

Went down there with a printout of my Amazon order and the advert page from the website confirming the price and 24 hour availability. They need to check by phone. Try finding a phone number for Amazon anywhere!!! Well, I managed in the end (020 8636 9200) but guess what? Their phone system is being upgraded today, so you can`t get through any other way.

So, the manager in Richer Sounds said the best he could do was price match - (which to be honest I`m happy with as I get it sooner and have somewhere real to take it back to) but I didn`t see why I should let them off the hook.

They say they`ll match any confirmed internet price and list Amazon on one of the companies they`ll beat, yet they know full well that all Internet vendors don`t want to speak to anyone on the phone - only email.

Bah!

Hostilities to re-commence later on the way home.......

Hi, I`m new member here but I`ve been visiting the forums for a while.

I`ve done exactly what you have here in Liverpool. And yes the Amazon phone systems are down. After an assistant explained that they may have to charge full price and I said that I`d just order it from Amazon the manager, after a bit of umming and ahhing, gave me the price beat price of £69.99.

It was the last machine in the shop too. I was half expecting not to be able to get the machine for whatever reason.

But try again.

Woo-hoo! Strike that up as a victory for the consumer!

I don`t care what anyone says, if you can get that Tosh for only £20 more than a chinese supermarket player, that is one serious rootin` tootin` deal.

Nice to see RS honouring their £10 price beat deal. Even if it took a bit of persuasion.

For those guys who have got the Tosh for £69.99 from Richer S, can they confirm if their player is
multi-regional. Personally, the extra £10 saving is a false saving if all you`re getting from Richer is a region 2 version of the player. The Amazon version is multiregional, worth the extra £10.
