Amazon are doing the Pioneer 350 multiregion for £99.99 including delivery and that plays all normal formats (DVD, DVD-R/W, CDR/W, CD, VCD, SVCD & MP3) as well, although it can`t handle video files burnt as data and mp3 files burnt to DVD that the Pacific mentioned above can.

The Accoustic Solutions sold by Richer Sounds are good players. My Girlfriend has one and I can`t find any fault with it. I have a Schnider (Also sold at Asda) and this is quite good as a budget player that will output 5.1. Its essentially a Pacific 1002 with a bit of extra functionality...

Tim, I agree the Acoustic Solutions players are good. Only drawback with them seems to be (per the Richer Sounds website) that they don`t play VCDs.
Happy to be corrected if I`m wrong!
Cheers!

skronk in bargain buckets has said that his local sainsbury`s is selling Mico diamante multireg for £59. Obviously it is not known whether it is nationally but if you can find it, then it is a superb buy. I am of Chinese origin and know quite a lot about Chinese brands and Mico is absolutely among the best Chinese brands, which makes this machine a absolute steal. But if you feel that another £40 is not much, then Pioneer 350 or Toshiba 220 are superb buys as well. It depends on your wallet and if you are building a whole system, the total budget.
