damn, gone up £60 this year, but using price comparison, still the cheapest!

at least the house insurance, also due, is about the same, and still the cheapest.

Only thing that does not go up is wages 

AA are rip of merchants as well, I need cover as I know nothing about cars :)

£150 as a valued member, Silver Membership,  or £109 for a new customer :(

edit - rang them, I guess it is insurance, but just like normal insurance, phone them on the free phone number with the renewal docs, speak to a person, decline their kind reduction of x percent as still more than new person, they explain new person doesn't get something i get for free, and then go off, make cup of tea or whatever they did while I was on hold and give me a a better discount :(

Some banks give a 25% discount on AA, I think its the Halifax does it, you can check.

I gave up the AA last year, after getting the brush off with them, when they sent a local breakdown firm out to me (which I detest as they are a ripoff company) as AA were to busy to come, and the breakdown guy just said I will get your van picked up and never looked once at the problem. I told them to take it to my house and not their garage.

Ended up paying a different garage to fix what the AA would have spotted in minutes, and likely fixed on the spot, if they had come instead. Grrh!

So this year I joined Green Flag instead.

Car insurance is £60 more than last year, price comparison I can get same level £100 cheaper than this renewal!

This happened last year and they went lower than what I said I could get for :) Finger crossed same again. (House insurance wouldn't budge so I went elsewhere)

AA also due, that's £70 more than last year, again they're kind enough to tell me what it's gone up by and also remind me of the discount they gave me, (I rang up to complain I could get better coverage from green Flag cheaper, and RAC) so will be doing that again later :(

I am with green flag as AA went far to high.

Not had to use them yet for my white van, touch wood, but better covered.

Car insurance this year with 'More than', by just using comparitive websites, and taking the cheapest. Though always take NCB protection.

My RAC renewal also went up, rang them to cancel again and when they asked why they put it back down to the previous year and said they would make a note on the record to make sure it doesn't go up the following year...

...not sure how that works or if it does work, I guess I'll find out!

(Repeat for several days)
Fire off several emails starting with annoyed and ending with downright abusive.
No answer to any of them.

By the time the next payment came round it was only a couple of quid per month increase so I decided my blood pressure was worth more than that.
