Loved her or hated her, I bet retailers are hiking up the price of The Iron Lady DVD and Blu-rays as I type this.

RE: Margaret Thatcher has died
I don`t really like talking politics, but I have to say I had a real soft spot for her. That`s one lady I wish I could have met, at any stage of her life.
I`ll miss her, and I wish they had never made "The Iron Lady" as it is not a good epitaph for her.
R.I.P.

Along with paper plates, plastic cutlery, bunting etc for all the street parties.Sniggered until I heard on the radio at 6 there was a gathering of 100 people in Glasgow George Square after a request on Social Media sites for a street party....
Don`t care what anyone thinks of her, she isn`t quite in the Dictator camp and to me that`s a bit of an extreme reaction for any politician.

Not entirely joking Jimbo.
I fully expect there to be at least the odd street party on the day of her funeral.
Can`t help thinking they`d better announce the funeral venue pretty early otherwise Mark will never make it.

I fully expect there to be at least the odd street party on the day of her funeral.I know and I expect it too mate, already been one here in George Square (it went ahead, AOL home page has a report :-/ ) and apparently one in Brixton.
As mentioned in the other thread, an 87 year old infirm women passed away, to me not a cause for celebration (back in the day removing her from being PM would have been but not her passing)

So I heard she died pretty much alone at The Ritz, where she moved because her family weren't visiting her much (or at all?).
Not sure how true that is.
If so, it's her own fault, she wouldn't have been alone if she'd have had ambition and aspirations for a better end to her life. She just needed to try harder.
