Why is it that film makers can put alot of effort into producing a half decent film only to spoil it all by sticking one dreadfull line in towards the end. I`m sure we all know one, my favourites being:-
"Give my regards to King Tutt, asshole". Kurt Russells`s line which finished off Stargate and:-
"Get away from her, you Bitch". James Cameron trying to make Rippley sound tough in Aliens and in the process making everones toes curl.
Come on, get them off your chests.
RE: One liners that ruin the film
There is a line in Sixth Sense that makes me cringe! It goes something like
"Keep Walking Cheese D*ck"
or similar. I sat there thinking how can they give him a line like that in this film, they were fine in the Die Hard Series but this one I hate!

I think the eloquent words "suck my dick you bastards" spoken by Geena Davis towards the climax (pardon the pun) of Long Kiss Goodnight totally ruined any kind of tension that was building up - Renny you should be ashamed of yourself.

It`s got to be any line delivered by Quentin Tattentino. No matter how good the line, he ALWAYS manages to ruin it !
RE: One liners that ruin the film
I`ve begun the task of sitting through my James Bond collection. I`m beginning to realise that Roger Moore`s one-liners are all awful!
the rather twisted atempt of humour from Arnie in the 6th day, walking out of the Repet clinic "i might be back", it just made me want to tear my flesh off...
Its silly really to say that certain one liners spoil a film cos frankly thats not true. Stargate was a great film, so was sixth sense and many of the other films mentioned. They may sound awful at the time but they certainly dont ruin a film. To ruin a film, you need bad acting, bad plot, bad soundtrack. Dialogue can add style and humour to a film. These one liners more often than not usually pay off. Pitch Black for example "We cant leave.........without saying goodbye" Now that was style. They add a lot to a characters ego.
It has got to be "There`s always a bigger fish" from the phantom menace.
Although it was technically JAR JAR Bloody binks that ruined the film!!
"Always bet on black" wesley Snipes in Passenger 57. Didn`t ruin the film for me as it was cack well before that!! but still made me cringe.
Andi McDowells `is it raining, I hadn`t noticed` from Four Weddings.
Still a funny film though.
