Wikileaks founder charges dubious or geniune?

Wikileaks founder in new bail bid
Julian Assange will again ask a London court to grant him bail as he fights extradition to Sweden on charges of sexual assault.
Just wondering what people make of this. I get the general impression everyone assumes these are trumped up charges brought about to try and damage the WikiLeaks organisation.

Or am I wrong?

Time line of the allegations here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-11949341

Don`t know what to believe having read that.

Not sure why he was remanded in custody, as neither he or his lawyer were presented with evidence or details of the allegations.

That bloke who is wanted in South Africa was given bail even though the allegations are for murder.

Seems weird.

If you leak information as a whisleblower nowadays, you either get charged for SOME offence or ANY offence, or die through a strong urge to kill yourself, with a little help, or end up 9 years in gatamano bay without being charged :D

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

If he is found hanged in the woods with a suicide note let the consipracy commence

Annoys me why our country always manages to get involved in most high profile stories

I think considering this story we are keeping out of it quite well. At the moment it looks like our legal system is doing what it should do.

no different in America, when there is a high profile case, it`s handle in a way for the courts to get rid of it quick and dot`s the I`s and cross the T`s and move on..., next.
