I like the fact that his lower jaw had been blown off, but the sound that was apparently heard was just "a loud pop".

Why would he have had some explosive gum sitting close to his normal chewing gum? I don`t get that bit. Was it murder or was he a terrorist or something???

I thought he was dipping his gum into citric acid before he chewed it (as you do), but had a similar looking something explosive substance next to the acid, and dipped it in there by mistake...
