Check ink prices before you buy! Lexmark are notorious for selling cheap printers then charging twice that for the ink.

If you can find cheaper non branded or refillable ink then go for it, but steer clear of the "official ink".

I bought the Lexmark Z23 and its perfect for a low volume printer, it includes a colour cartridge although I had to buy a USB cable seperately (Maplin are cheap for these).

However as people have stated, replacement cartridges are almost as much as the printer itself! Plus it will only take a colour OR a black at anyone time, you have to store the spare round the back of the unit. But the quality is amazing for the price, and the colour cart does a decent job of printing black anyways.

Epson consumables are much cheaper though, so if you plan on printing more than a few pages a week, avoid Lexmark completely.

Thanks for the info guys. Ive made a choice on a printer, Apollo P-2100U Powered by HP £41.11 + Delivery £51.56 all in.

Refills are cheap, Not the best spec but It will do for the price.

Hey Dusty

I hate to be cruel and the bearer of such news , but that printer you ordered (Apollo P2100-U) IS the one they were doing at Toys R Us for £25. They were also doing it at the same price just after Christmas at Staples too (don`t know if it is still there).

Sorry

Got any views on the all in one printer (+scanner+photocopy+fax).
Was thinking of going for Lexmark Z83 but will now steer well away
(conning gits).
Now I think HP-PSC950 (also includes slots for Mem stick, Smart media
and Compact flash ontop of the Z83 features)

Anyone got this baby, your views and any deals going would be
warmely appreciated.

Cheers

Guppy.
