Just wondering what people`s opinions on this one is... What was the whole meaning, if any, behind Captain Barbosa`s obsession with apples?

There is no such thing as stupid questions, just stupid people!

Since becoming cursed, Barbossa has discovered:

Quote:
Barbossa: The more we gave 'em away, the more we came to realize…the drink would not satisfy, food turned to ash in our mouths, and all the pleasurable company in the world could not slake our lust. We are cursed men, Miss Turner . Compelled by greed, we were, but now we are consumed by it.

He can`t taste apples and he misses `em.

Of course, you realise this means war!

Stick his obsession in with Ben Gunns and we could have a decent sarnie.

I disliked this film when I saw it in the cinemas - 30 minutes too long, a scene that is repeated three times, boring `swashbuckling` fight scenes, Orlando Bloom`s poor and forgettable performance, Keira not used to the best of her abilities (i.e. naked)...the only saving grace was Johnny Depp.

Well it would be "un-Rik" of you to like a film that everybody else did after all, wouldn`t it?

Rik, you are indeed a very strange boy! :p

But, saying that, everyone is entitled to an opinion on everything I guess...no, you`re still very strange! ;)

Top top film in my eyes - one that will be hard to beat.

Love the film, but I agree with the Orlando Blood Comment, he`s basically there to give the girls something to look at. He doesn`t have any good lines and seems to just be there to fill the gaps in the screen when Keira or Johnny are taking centre stage.

Johnny Depp was very good :D

He camped it up so well and his mannerisms were pure genius. I`m not really a fan of his but I enjoyed his `C`pn sparra` a whole lot.

Orlando is so overrated, he was cool as Legless in LOTR but then I would have been cool as Legless in LOTR, hell my mum could have played that part and been cool :p

Keira is a strumpet and deserves a smack over my knee, erm......ohhh :D
