[VIDEO] Oppenheimer (2023)

Quote:
Oppenheimer is an upcoming American biographical film written and directed by Christopher Nolan, based on American Prometheus, a biography of J. Robert Oppenheimer written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. The film is a co-production between Syncopy Inc. and Atlas Entertainment, with Nolan producing the film alongside Emma Thomas and Charles Roven. Cillian Murphy stars as Oppenheimer, the theoretical physicist who is among those credited with being the "father of the atomic bomb" for his role in the Manhattan Project—the World War II undertaking that developed the first nuclear weapons. Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., and Florence Pugh also lead the ensemble cast.

Nifty trailer with the countdown. Anything from Nolan is a must-see. Might even be worth a rare cinema visit. This will have a 100 day theatrical window and I doubt I can wait that long.

Might be the first plot of a Nolan film in ages anyone will be able to follow!

Still think this movie is pointless. But new trailer anyway

I'm pretty hyped.

Seeing the Trinity test in IMAX is going to be something special.

The BBC have put the 1980 Oppenheimer 7-part drama on iPlayer

Episode 1 drew me in. Worth a watch if you don’t mind a more sedate pace and audible dialogue.

I did see this the Thursday it came out, and was pleasantly surprised by a few things - despite the length I was never bored. It was interesting at a level rarely seen in my local cineplex, and connected to that, the screen was nearly half-full for one of the most intellectual films seen in several years

I know a couple of people who have tried a couple of times and it's been full each time!  Can't recall the last time that happened.
Walking out reminded of when I saw Schindler's List, people were just silent.
