Well the ctitics seemed to pan this film... watched it last night and really enjoyed it!
I am in no way a Will Smith fan, apart from his performance in I am Legend, a remake of the Omega Man, his performances for me are all the same... In this film he was really good... great action, good verses evil, and soem really funny points!

It is very derivative - a bit of District 13, The Fifth Element and a bunch of other stuff chucked in from cop shows and films over the years. I wouldn't mind if it did something with it. Will Smith played Will Smith in it. I didn't think it was much good.

I watched it last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also remarked on the Alien Nation similarity at the beginning, and also noticed the 5th Element similarity, but it is a story of Wizards, Fairies & Elves, with a funny script. Good fun! I'll definitely watch a sequel. And to me, it makes no odds whether it would sell at the cinema or not, as I hardly ever go these days. Too bloody expensive!
