NTL customers - Premiership Plus (normally PayPerView) - £1 a month
For those NTL digital customers that missed out on this last year, it`s being run again for the forthcoming 2003/4 season.
Telephone 0800 052 2000 - they won`t start charging the £1 a month until August.
Those of us lucky enough to get it last year will have our subscriptions renewed automatically : we won`t pay anything in June or July.
Details on channel 900 :-)

This sounds too good to be true, are you saying that all the pay per view games can be viewed for only £1 per month ?
Where`s the catch, NTL don`t normally give much away!
If this is correct, thanks a lot Clayts, I`ll give them a bell when I get home.
Cheers,
Rich.

We had it last year.....
You get one selected Premiership match a week. No choice - get what you`re given, but at around 25p per match it`s not bad.
RE: NTL customers - Premiership Plus (normally PayPerView) - £1 a month
Yup - 40 games a season, normally charged at a £5 a time = £200
NTL charge you a £1 a month = £10
Total saving over what Sky customers pay = £190 :-)
Available to both NTL analogue and digital customers
The games are usually on at 2pm on Sundays (before the Sky 4pm game), although nearer the end of the season you get a few Saturday morning/early Saturday evening games.
Totally bonkers deal and one in the eye to Murdoch !

Clayts - just a quick correction - Sky do a deal for all 40 matches, last season this was £40, I think this is £50 for next season. Still irks me that NTL do it cheaper than Sky who bought the rights and sell it on to NTL.
Regards,
Peter

Why do Sky bother selling the rights fo rthier channels onto ntl, surely if they had it so that their service was the only option, they would rake it in on a ibgger scale than they do now?
Would that be a monoply and thus illegal?

It`s a great deal, i had it last season also but when you consider that i pay £66.49 (basic) for all channels (not porn, religion or fcuking MUTV mind), 150K broadband and phone line rental a month thay can afford a loss leader to entice people over to NTL and why not? It`s good to honour it for another season though i must say. Perhaps i won`t get rid of them now after that £2.99 a month broadband hike!
