Yet another Terminator release...?

There`s been so many dvd versions and I`m pretty sure a BD release. But now I find that amazon have terminator on pre-sale now:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003BNY6YY/ref=s9_simh_gw_p74_d0_g74_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1K6Z3HQYN2S3Y94PWXWS&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294&tag=myrev09-21

what I dont understand is whats going to be different compared to the versions already released on bluray? Hopefully the image quailty will actually look HD worthy this time round. Anyone got any info on this?

Agneepath 2012 Blu ray?

Saw this movie in the cinema and thought it was a great film and could not wait for it to be released in Bluray.

Turns out that it has now been released on DVD but not on Blu ray. This leads to me to my rant as to why don`t the Indian Film Industry (which probably released more movies a year than any other) adopt what is now the standard format in home entertainment.
I want to be able to enjoy my movies in HD. Granted old classics like Sholay might be a bit difficult, but come on! New movies that were shot in the last few years should be given the HD treatment.
Even old hollywood movies have been given the BD tgreatment, why cant the IFI follow suit?

Yes I know that there are some bolly movies on Bluray which is good, but there`s plenty of room for improvement.

ok, Rant over, thanks.

RE: SD Memory card classes?

thanks for the reply folks.
I got a Nikon D90 so wanted to make sure I got the right kind of memory card to do the job.

SD Memory card classes?

hello folks

can someone please clarify what they mean by the classes of SD cards?

e.g. what does it mean by class 10? class 6? etc. is it to do with the speed of the card? and if so what would be faster, a class 6 or 10?

Thanks all

RE: which DSLR?

From the original post, if your budget is £600, then I`d recommend the Nikon D90 with 18-105 kit lens.
Best buy selling them for 606 (subject to availability)

PS3 160GB model for under £160, at Sainsburys

As the heading says above :-)

RE: Recommend me some top US TV Shows....

Does anybody know if Terminator TSCC will be back for a 3rd season? The season 2 finale left it at a really good climax.

RE: Advice required from photographers - Lumix G1...

Have you considered the compact panasonics, like the TZ65 or TZ7. These are great little cameras with 12x optical zoom leica lenses.

Personally, if you`re going to go for a DSLR, consider Canon or Nikon. I say this because (and please correct me if I`m wrong) theres a greater variety of lenses available from those makes. and Sigma also cater very well for Canon, Nikon etc.

Depending on your budget, have a look at the Nikon D60 or even the Nikon D80/D90.

Hope this helps

RE: Digital camera very slow taking pics??

As mentioned above, older Digital Cameras do suffer from shutter lag. I remember I had a Fuji S3000 and the shutter would always take about 12 seconds before it would take a picture.
When taking a picture, how quick it it to focus? If theres not a lot of difference between the contrast of the background and your subject, some cameras do get confused as to what to focus on.
Newer cameras have less shutter lag and features such as face detection.
In terms of speed, you`ll find that an SLR will be faster than a compact camera, but it all depends on what you want out of your camera. Try playing with your camera in differnt lighting situations and see how the shutter speed is then.

RE: Windows Vista SP2 - M$ debloatware?

RE: OK Guys, recomend me some PS3 Games :)

I second R & C Tools of Destruction.

Also Im looking forward to Batman Arkham Asylum, Ghostbusters.
Recently got Xmen Wolverine which was surprisingly enjoyable.
A lot of reviews online say that Infamous is supposed to be really good.

RE: Where`s the best (and cheapest) place to buy SDHC cards?

How does classification work?
I`m assuming Class 1 is slow and speed increases with class number?

RE: A question for the resident police officers on the forum.

As I understand it, it is your entitlement. Because of Human Rights, Police have to account for their actions. They follow the numonic (sp) PLAN

Proportionality
Legality
Accountability
Necessary

After I was stopped, I said to him, "Can I have a 5090" and he did so with no fuss. (And under PACE, everytime you`re stopped, they should be giving you a slip)

RE: A question for the resident police officers on the forum.

To be fair, he did say "My mistake, sorry to trouble you" or words to that affect.

Then, I said to him (and I think I did so well within my rights) "OK Officer, you`ve asked me to account for myself, can I have a stop slip. (Form 5090) And he said to me "Oh so you`ve been Stopped and Searched before?" I personally didn`t like this comment like he was insinuating that I was Slag or something, considering that was the first time I`ve been stopped by police in my life. But at the end of the day, the outcome was no further action so I am content.

Oh and thank you for the link MS999. :)

A question for the resident police officers on the forum.

Hello MS999 or anyone else with knowledge.

I was stopped by a police officer on a push bike today while I was driving my car. He said to me that he stopped me because he thought he saw me driving whilst on a mobile phone (Infact I was resting my elbow on the side window). The officer asked to see my mobile phone, so I handed it over, and he then started to examine the call history and saw that the last call was made yesterday, therefore, not guilty of the alleged offense.

Now I understand that under PACE (Police and Criminal Evidence Act) that Police can Stop you, Search you etc and seize items which are concerned in an offense (e.g. seizing a knuckleduster used in an assault) But do they have the power to look through my call history like that? (I know its common sense to see that I had not used the phone through the call history, but I always thought that a warrant would be needed to examine the digital contents of a phone....?)

Any clarification would be appreciated and if possible, a link to the Act/Section of PACE.

Thank you.

RE: 32` HD TV Best Buy

Would you consider this LG?

RE: Slumdog Millionaire

I gotta agree, really contempoary and clever story to the movie. The only bad thing is that by watching the movie it does kinda put me off visiting Mumbai. But then again, the movie isn`t afraid to show what the culture/lifestyle is really like out there.

RE: divx from a normal dvd

Alternatively, try FU Wizard. It`ll rip and convert the dvd to divx. (Again, could take a long time depending on the capability of your PC)

RE: Help with PS3 and a 720p TV

Thank you Chris. I shall give this a try. Have a good one.

Help with PS3 and a 720p TV

Hello Folks

I need help please. My PS3 is currently connected to a Samsung LE40A656 LCD TV which is 1080p. No issues there.

However, when I took it over to my friend`s house and tried connecting it to his TV, a Samsung PS50Q96HD, a 720p Plasma TV, it came up with a blank screen with the message "Mode Not Supported". Is there anyway around this? Would I have to manually set the PS3 through the 1080p TV to 720p or something like this?
Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Nav

RE: How many will replace dvd`s with Blu Ray?

Well personllly, it all depends on the Transfer and quality of the BD.

E.g. Casino Royale on BD is a must and compared to its DVD counterpart- is so much clearer.
Others I`d try and aviod would be examples like the Terminator 2 BD as thats not much better than a DVD upscaled.
LOTR I think (as and when it does get released) will be on my BD must have list.

By the time we all upgraded to BD, there`ll be probably a new 2160p format or somehing like that.

RE: DS `fake` multi game (?)

Was this DS cartridge an n4ds?

Jodhaa Akbar DVD question

Hi Folks

I know this may be a bit of a long shot, but does anybody own the above said DVD, and is it worth getting. I personally saw it in the Cinema - loved it- but googling online, some people have said that the DVD transfer isn`t great, as the production company have allegedly split the film over two DVD5`s. Can anyone confirm...?

Any advice appreciated. Thank you all.

p.s. Anyone celebrating Eid- Eid Mubarik! :)
