RE: Best RGB using DVD recorder under £80?

Paull it does record in rgb I assume?

I am toying with the idea of changing my Liteon 5006 for this panny. Not sure if the wife can agree to have 2 recorders so will have to sell the liteon before I can get the panny.

What Panasonic model do you suggest? Does this model use the RGB method of recording as well?

For that price it must be the DMRES10.

RE: Lite-On LVW-5006, disc compatibility and DVD-VR?

no need to apologise splintercell :)

Ok got it sorted (with +RW).

Rip disk on to hard drive. (this is optional but shrink works faster for me from hard drive)

1.Open dvd shrink.

2. Select re-author.

open main movie. the main movie file will only show the last recording (assumming you have 2 or more recording on the disk).

Edit this to remove the ads and back up on hard drive.

Delete this title (on the recorder)

Repeat the process form step 2 for the next title.

I know its a bit long winded. In future

I intend to record 1 title on the disk if I intend to archive it.

RE: Lite-On LVW-5006, disc compatibility and DVD-VR?

Quote:
when i had a 5002 (5006 without the -R capability) i just used DVD Shrink / Nero
to do multiple copies of anything that i`d recorded from TV. you can also use Shrink
to remove unwanted commercials etc.

splintercell, I have tried this using dvd shrink and +RW disk. On opening dvdshrink I get error "Invalid DVD Navigation Structure" Error.

I get this error if I open the dvd or folder containing ripped files.

I am going to use the vobs and re-create IFO`s using IFOEDIT see if that help..

Cyberhome 1600 disk problem

Hi my cyberhome records and plays back +R, +RW, -R, -RW but the playback is only on the cyberhome.

Playing the disks on other players skips/freezes the picture. Do I have a faulty recorder?

ps I do finalise the -R/-RW disks.

RE: cyberhome dvdr 1600

I got one yesterday and seems to be fine (so far).

I noticed manufacture label on the base of the unit as dec-2005, maybe these are new batches.
