Cyberhome 1600 disk problem

happy (Competent) posted this on Friday, 6th January 2006, 07:04

Hi my cyberhome records and plays back +R, +RW, -R, -RW but the playback is only on the cyberhome.

Playing the disks on other players skips/freezes the picture. Do I have a faulty recorder?

ps I do finalise the -R/-RW disks.

Unfortunately, when making your own recordings, some other players may not recognise the discs. On what other DVD players have you tried the recordings?

I have tried to play them back on my skyworth and Medion dvd players.
Also my DVD rom on the pc fails to recognise the disks.

you don`t finilize +rw or -rw disks there is no need but you do have to with +r and-r disks as these are record once onlythe +rw or -rw can be used over and over again just remember to erase them first or you`ll run out of space my cyberhome 1600 disks playback excellent on both my hyundi and matsui players my hyundi is region 6 my matsui is region free so is my cyberhome recorder..so this might help too the disks i use are mostly mediastar, mitshibisi, jvc, mr dvd and magic media all which work great
only avoid philips the pic is very grainy and it does`t always record i had more fails on them than anything else sony is good for +r but not -r mmmm no idea why the recorder just doest like it

Ok problem is the player.

Discs that worked in the player before are now giving error of "no disc".

Will have to get a refund/replacement.
