RE: HP LaserJet 1018 Printer. £39.99

The 5000 (average) prints comes from my experience with Samsung laser printers I have gone through 4 in the last few years. I do print a large amount for work and found this the cheapest method, i have since moved to a inkjet with an external ink pot much better. :D

RE: 24

:D

Or sell it cheap to me!!! (:¦

RE: HP LaserJet 1018 Printer. £39.99

This is a good price for a laser, good spot. I found the toner cartridge at a reasonable price so the running cost would be low. The only downside with cheap lasers is they are generally only good for about 5000 pages!

Heres is the link to the toner:

RE: Laptop bag £2.49 instore Sava centre

The point was simply if you spend £500 on a laptop why would want to buy such a cheap sh-it bag, nothing wrong in posting but likewise I`m expressing my opinion.

RE: Nokia 770 Internet Tablet £69.99

Ok I retract my original statement the operating system is obscure, it says on various websites "Internet Tablet OS 2006 edition", I didn't realise this was Linux.

But overall I still think it's a piece of s hit.

RE: Nokia 770 Internet Tablet £69.99

It seems a completely useless gadget, the operating system is obscure, it has no phone capability and the maximum expansion capacity is a 1 GB memory card. It's a pig in a poke, prices are on there arse because it garbage. Spend your money elsewhere, if you want a cheap gadget with built in Sirf 3 GPS try this: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=115145&TabID=1&source=1&doy=17m7

You can use the Nokia as a GPS device with Navicore 2007 software but also requires an external GPS unit, hope this helps!!!!!

RE: Help on a previous bargain please - Ventura 40Gb Hard Drive MP3 player Argos £49

Try this link for a USB charger its 47p plus postage.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/XDA-Charger-Sync-Charge-Cable/dp/B0002QYOJ0?tag=myrev09-21

Just google "USB car charger" for best price, you just plug in the large USB into the car charger.

Personally I would not use a hard-drive player in the car via a radio transmitter they are shat to say the least, you can get cheap ones at computer shows from £3 upwards most are limited to a few channels and you get so much hiss and the quality is poor. I have since bought a cheap car MP3 player (ALDI £50) with SD card capacity and play my MP3 tracks this way, believe me I have explored the options your considering and they ain`t worth the hassle.

Good luck.

RE: Lobster 700TV (phone/TV/Dab radio) + 200 free minutes £50 or less

You will need to go through the application unlock procedure prior to installing any additional software, please see the link below for a full explanation on how to do it.

I found this Sirf 111 GPS receiver for £32 from mobile fun, I have never bought from them so cannot comment on service, http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/12398.htm?id=10939.htm.

Or £52 for this is a excellent quality piece of kit.

Has anyone found any other sites for other applications?

RE: Lobster 700TV (phone/TV/Dab radio) + 200 free minutes £50 or less

Rich, I have a bluetooth GPS receiver not sure about the USB side. I have a Sirf 111 chipset receiver, when you pair them make sure the the paired name of the GPS receiver is BT-GPS or you can have pairing issues.

It works really well, you can add speed cameras directly into the map or other point of interest.

Given that sat nav systems alone can now be purchased for as little as £80 it may or may not be worth buying a separate receiver but you can get from £30 upwards. I would advise that you steer clear of anything less than Sirf 111chipset as they loose the signal in city centers.

RE: Lobster 700TV (phone/TV/Dab radio) + 200 free minutes £50 or less

Yes but for £39 you could buy a brand new one!

I have managed to get TomTom 5.2 working on this great device, if you need to a copy to evaluate before you buy it try the link below this one works, TT6 does not work so don`t waste your time trying hope this helps!!
