Laptop bag £2.49 instore Sava centre

pat-w (Elite) posted this on Wednesday, 1st August 2007, 22:56

Was in my local Sava today (Beckton) & they had a box of laptop bags reduced to £2.49 each. Was £14.99
Thought it was a bit odd, as they were in a food isle
Says it's for a 15" laptop, but my 17" dell widescreen fits inside with some room to spare
No idea if this offer is in all stores or not.
this is the card that was on the front of the bag

fair enough, but if someone wants one, why should you give a s***?
Why post at all?
Not that its any of your business, but i have already have a crumpler laptop bag i got from mymemory,
I got this cheap bag for carrying my laptop from room to room at home & use like a dust cover, buy why should you care?
But if someone wants a cheap bag, for whatever reason, then this thread was meant for them

The point was simply if you spend £500 on a laptop why would want to buy such a cheap sh-it bag, nothing wrong in posting but likewise I`m expressing my opinion.

Ok, it looks like I jumped in too quick, I'm sorry.
I spent time scanning a pic, then signed up to a photo hosting site just so I could upload a picture, & the only reply was you calling the case a piece of crap which I don't think it is.

Have you seen one? Are you calling it s*** because of the price?
It you could get a new, working Sony 42" LCD for a £100, would that mean it was rubbish?

It's not the best case in the world, but I've seen a lot worse for a lot more money.
It may only be £2.49 now, but this was selling for £14.99.

I thought someone might want one for their kids as a school bag, just because it's a laptop bag, doesn't mean it can't be used for school books.

For what I wanted it for, it's more than adequate.
Yes of course, you are entitled to your opinion.
But before you dismiss a post remember someone's taken the time & effort to write it for the benefit of others

i`m with pat here, tbh, at that money it`s a bargain, & peeps can go have a look for themselves, then decide if they wanna buy, pat took the time to post here & should be thanked, not have the bargain he posted derided.

if you personally have been out & bought one of these & found it to be sub-standard then by all means say so, but a simple "it`s £2.49p, ergo it`s s***" post does nobody any good whatsoever.

so shame on you.....

& thanks pat :) i don`t have a laptop, but thanks for posting.

some-one at work has a bag that looks similar, it was a v cheap one. You can tell it`s not as good as the expensive Targus ones we have, but saying that, my laptop bag generally just gets used to carry my laptop from living room to my car. Then from my car into my office. For a while we didn`t have any laptop bags so I was using a strong carrier bag, that was adequate!

Hugh Arse`s was probably trying to say (admittedly very heavy handedly) that if you wanted a laptop bag, which you needed `cos you travel lots, then this bag probably isn`t for you.

But then for the cost of a pint, you can`t really complain :)

As Ogster says, thanks for posting the bargains,

Cheers

Al

Erm... probably? ;)

Nowt wrong with a cheap laptop bag - as long as it`s perfectly secure. I use one my sister brought back from the States - bought off a punk street vendor in the East Village. Perfectly good for the couple of dollars she paid for it.

Smells funny, though... :/

8) OK OK OK, to conclude this post I will eat my harsh words it was some what tongue in cheek honest.

PS, Pat if you do find a 42 Sony LCD on sale for £100 in Sava centre please do post the message.

PPS Please look for a bag to carry it in maximum price £ 3

The end :D
