I am still on my original launch day machine and not had so much as a freeze yet so definitely sounds like bad luck but mention to them its your 2nd console and maybe you will be able to get a free memory card or controller out of them.

Kryptonite is Kryptonite, doesnt matter if he is exposed to it on the remains of his home planet or back on Earth where he has super powers.

Remember it doesnt just remove his powers, it is radiation poisoing and prolonged exposure will kill him.

Its a sequence at the very start with Superman in his ship searching the remains of krypton for other survivors.

According to the comic adaptation he finds whats left of his father lab with the superman sign on the wall and then a piece of kryptonite hits the ship and is absorbed which poisons him so he sets a course back to earth and then I would imagine that is where the title sequence starts up.

RE: Cracked discs on 360

This is a well known problem and has been talked on many different forums since the start of the year.

Some think it is the result of the disc being spun too fast resulting it in getting hot then being placed back in its case causing stress on the centre of the disc which then leads to cracking.

So far I have been lucky and not one of my 11 games has showed signs of cracking but saying that I do leave the games in the 360 to cool down before I put them back in the case.

Regarding Top Gun, I have seen comparison shots between the original and SE release and if anything I would say the SE is the f*** up as things like callsigns on their helmets/hats are visible on the original release but are cut off on the new release.

Just order from either Movietyme, Axel Music, Loaded247 or CDWow and you wont have to worry about customs as they either post from inside the UK/EU or pre-pay the duty.

DazMack1979 is correct, those 2 discs are not new, they were released as part of the Family Guy Season 1-3 Compendium Boxset which has been available for some time now.

I too remember reading about this problem when the set was originally released all those years ago but personally I never had any trouble but my brother told me once about how he couldnt watch the Workprint of Alien 3 because it kept freezing and skipping but after he upgraded to a JVC Home Cinema system he didnt have any trouble.

All the packaging is in German including the Collector`s Booklet I am afraid but there are no forced subtitles, all the menus are in english and because the set is coming from inside the EU customs isnt an issue.

Also, the space off to the right is for the hat so I doubt Crusade would fit in it.

I got my copy today (not bad considering it was only sent Wednesday) but havent checked the discs yet but I am told that all discs are English as default so when you pop them in you get English Menus and English Audio :)

Back to the Future 2 and 3 on Region 1 have commentaries as well as the Q&A so extra wise the R1 release is still the best, it just comes down to whether you want commentaries or DTS.

When I said the film discs in the new set were identical to the original discs I ment the re-framed versions so unless they had added the commentaries when they remastered years ago there were never going to be any commentaries on the new release, after all that would have cost them even more money.
